Albertus ( Bart) Stryker
Peacefully in his sleep, Albertus 1 Bart )
Stryker, formerly of Princess Street, Clin-
ton, died in the Clinton Public Hospital on
August 4. He was 77 years old.
Mr. Stryker was born in Holland on Oc-
tober 5, 1909 to the late Jan and Aafke ( Dek-
ker) Stryker.
Mr. Stryker and his wife, the former
Margaret Weteringe, are members of Trini-
ty Christian Reformed Church, Goderich.
He is survived by his wife and several
children: Mrs. Evert (Evelyn) Middel of
Goderich, Mrs. Peter (Elizabeth) Hummel
of Arthur, . John and his wife Betty of
Holland, Mrs. Nick (Mary Ann) Dykema of
Sombra and Mrs. Auke (Joanne) de Jong of
Bayfield. Mr. Stryker is also survived by 24
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is survived by one sister, Hillegje
Brand of Holland and one brother, Ap
Stryker' of Brazil.
Mr. Stryker was predeceased by four
brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Stryker rested a Beattie Funeral
Home, Clinton, and a funeral service was
held on August 6 at Trinity Christian
Reformed Church with Rev. Harry Vriend
officiating.
Pallbearers were John Stryker, Evert
Middel, Peter Hummel, Nick Dykema,
Auke de Jong and Peter Hummel Jr.
Interment in Clinton Cemetery
HAROLD CONNELL
Harold George Connell of Centre St.,
Seaforth, passed away at the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital Monday, August 10, in his
82nd year. Mr. Connell beloved husband of
Helen Broadfoot and dear father of Ellen
Murphy of Egmondville and Clayton and his
wife Sandra of Lambeth. Predeceased by
one son-in-law, Joe Murphy and two
brothers, Roy and Cecil and one sister, Mrs.
Emily Marks. The family will receive
friends at Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home
after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday until 2 p.m.
Thursday when funeral service will be held.
Interment Maitland Bank Cemetery. An
IOOF memorial service will be held at the
Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 p.m. He
was a member of Northside United Church
and a member of the Seaforth Fidelity 55
IOOF.

Kathy A. Staddon of Kitchener, daughter of
Dave and Eileen Staddon of Clinton, and
Verne A. Sawyer of Kitchener, son of Laurie
Smith of Clinton and Jack Sawyer of
Smithville, were married on June 20 at
Laurie and John Smith's home. Rev. David
Woodall officiated. Maid of honor was
Margie Wise of Clinton and bridesmaids
were Judy Kokan of Kitchener and Sharon
Hartung of Gowanstown. Bestman was
Glenn Brandon of Kitchener and ushers
were Andrew VanZelst of Kent Bridge and
Bill Staddon of _Mississauga. A reception
was held at the Clinton Legion, followed by a
honeymoon trip to Ottawa. The couple will

were married on July 11 in the Londesboro
United Church by Rev. Dave Snihur. The
maid of honor was Barb Carter, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Sandy Carter and
Christine Carter, sisters of the bride, Gayle
Horton and Rhonda English. The bestman
was Ted Robinson, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Rob Robinson. brother of the
groom, Stefan Ciotlos, Reid Sirrs and Mark
Bunting, all of Toronto. Following the
ceremony, a reception was held at the
Goderich Township Hall. After a honey-
moon in Banff, Alberta and Emerald Lake,
British Columbia, the couple will make their

the setting for the May 16, 1987 wedding of
Sofia Rasa of Clinton, Ontario and Boris An-
thony Wallace of Blyth, Ontario. Sofia is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rasa of Clin-
ton, Ontario. Boris Anthony is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin Wallace of Blyth. Pastor
Gerry McMillan performed the ceremony
assisted by Pastor Mark Scarr. Maid of
honor was Colleen Rodges, friend of the
