He was 77 years old. Mr. Stryker was born in Holland on Oc- tober 5, 1909 to the late Jan and Aafke ( Dek- ker) Stryker. Mr. Stryker and his wife, the former Margaret Weteringe, are members of Trini- ty Christian Reformed Church, Goderich. He is survived by his wife and several children: Mrs. Evert (Evelyn) Middel of Goderich, Mrs. Peter (Elizabeth) Hummel of Arthur, . John and his wife Betty of Holland, Mrs. Nick (Mary Ann) Dykema of Sombra and Mrs. Auke (Joanne) de Jong of Bayfield. Mr. Stryker is also survived by 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is survived by one sister, Hillegje Brand of Holland and one brother, Ap Stryker' of Brazil. Mr. Stryker was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Stryker rested a Beattie Funeral Home, Clinton, and a funeral service was held on August 6 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Harry Vriend officiating. Pallbearers were John Stryker, Evert Middel, Peter Hummel, Nick Dykema, Auke de Jong and Peter Hummel Jr. Interment in Clinton Cemetery HAROLD CONNELL Harold George Connell of Centre St., Seaforth, passed away at the Seaforth Com- munity Hospital Monday, August 10, in his 82nd year. Mr. Connell beloved husband of Helen Broadfoot and dear father of Ellen Murphy of Egmondville and Clayton and his wife Sandra of Lambeth. Predeceased by one son-in-law, Joe Murphy and two brothers, Roy and Cecil and one sister, Mrs. Emily Marks. The family will receive friends at Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday until 2 p.m. Thursday when funeral service will be held. Interment Maitland Bank Cemetery. An IOOF memorial service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 p.m. He was a member of Northside United Church and a member of the Seaforth Fidelity 55 IOOF. After a honey- moon in Banff, Alberta and Emerald Lake, British Columbia, the couple will make their new home in Calgary, Alberta.
