attend Procter

BELGRAVE - The 56th Procter reunion
was held July 12 at the East Wawanosh
Public school with an attendance of 63.
A social time was enjoyed during the
afternoon and the activity committee con-
ducted games on the lawn for the children.
Lunch was served followed by a short
business meeting by President Frank Pro-
cter. Minutes of the last reunion , and
treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Don
( Marlene) Procter.
Officers for 1988: President, Arnold
Spivey; Vice -President, Charlie Procter;
Secretary -Treasurer, Mrs. Ken Alton;
Lunch Committee, Mrs. Harold Smits, Mrs.
Arnold Spivey, Mrs. Ron Hill and Marjorie
Procter; Activity Committee, Jennifer Pro-
cter; Karen Procter and Jeff Hill.
The 1988 reunion will be held July 10 at the
same place.
Relatives were present from, Burlington,
Tavistock, Kitchener, London, Ingersoll,
Seaforth, Listowel, Wingham, Brussels,
Blyth and Belgrave. Special guests were
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest West from Lopez,
Washington.
Edgar Reunion
Thirty relatives attended' the 39th Edgar
reunion held at the Belmore Community
Park on July 12.

Sports for young and old, were conducted
by Irlma Edgar and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Edgar of Wingham.
Rev. William Henderson of Lucknow said
grace and all enjoyed a smorgasbord meal.
President Rev. William Henderson con-
ducted the business for the meeting and the
minutes and treasurer's report were given
by Mrs. George Gibson of Wingham.
Officers for 1988 are: President, Rev.
William Henderson; Vice -President, Mrs.
Harvey Edgar; Secretary -Treasurer, Mrs.
George Gibson; Sports Committee, Beth
Payne and Mrs. William Henderson.
Relatives present were from:
Mississauga, Petrolia, Kitchener, Clinton,
Teeswater, Lucknow, Gorrie, Wingham and
Belgrave.
The 1988 reunion will be held at the
Belmore Community Park on July 10.
United Church News
A mauve and white arrangement of sum-
mer flowers, bowls of multicolored roses
and a bud vase on each window sill contain-
ing sweet peas and greenery beautified the
sancturary of Knox United Church,
Belgrave on July 12 for the service of the
celebration of the Lord's Supper. An adult
Baptism and Confirmation and the welcom-
ing of a new member by transferal of cer-
tificate to Knox.

Rev. John G. Roberts conducted the wor-
ship. Kenneth Procter was accepted in to
Knox United Church membership. Mrs.
Kenneth (Lila) Procter was then welcomed
to the charge by transferal of her certificate
to Belgrave.
The congregation stood to signify their
support for the couple as they were welcom-
ed by the members of Session.
Mrs. George Procter, organist was sup-
ported in the hymn singing by a large choir.
Personals
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Newton of Hamiota,
Manitoba, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Black for a few days the first week in July.
About 75 relatives gathered at the
Belgrave Park for the Campbell reunion on
July 5. Relatives present were Mr. and Mrs.
John Galbraith, Kelly and Michael of Whit-
by; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Campbell and
Heather of Richmond Hill; Mr. and Mrs.
Lyle Angsley of Thessalon; Donald Camp-
bell of Ajax, and his family from London,
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Campbell and their
family of London, and relatives from
Seaforth, Wingham and Belgrave.
Visiting at the home of Elizabeth Procter
over the July 12 weekend were Marjorie
Procter and Phillip Stopforth, both of
London.
Karen and Kevin Procter of RR 5,
Brussels also visited with their grand-
mother, Elizabeth Procter and all attended
the Procter reunion.
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Makas and Alicia
spent July 12 weekend with Mabel Wheeler.
Dorothy Logan and Michelle Arruda, who
has been holidaying with her grandmother-,
visited on Sunday at the home of the tatters
parents Mr. and Mrs. Americt, At uda of
Fergus.

Wng called on Dorothy. Logan on the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hewitt of St.
Catharines were Wednesday visitors at the
home of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
Stonehouse.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant McBurney, Stephen
and Renee of Middleton, Nova Scotia are
spending a few days with his mother,
Robena McBurney, and will also visit with
other relatives.
Barbara Coultes of 'Toronto visited a few
days last week with her mother Janisa
Coultes.
Mrs. Alex Nethery, Mrs. Glenn Coultes,
Mrs. Jim Hunter and Mrs. Ross Higgins at-
tended the FWIO's 90th anniversary conven-
tion at North Bay. They enjoyed tours,
workships and the banquet at the Mernorial
Gardens.
Sheep Club News
The sixth meeting of the Huron county
Sheep Club was held July 11 at the home of
Florence Pullen, starting with the 4-H
Pledge and the roll call.
Members discussed meeting six which
was about taking ca e of newborn lambs.
'1'hev decided when to have the next meeting
and also judged a class of lambs.
Mrs. Pullen served juice and donuts and
was thanked for hosting the meeting which
ended with the 4-11 !'ledge.
Wat Webster takes part
in . his 81st Orange Lodge parade
ing, Arnold Bruce and 'Por) Culbert played
the fifes.
This 1987 parade marked Mr. Webster's
81st July 12 parade without a miss.
Huron County Orange Lodge celebrated
July 12 in Owen Sound on Saturday, July 11.
The weather was hot for the parade par-
ticipants and spectators.
