has a knack for striking up interesting con-
versation with anyone, but mostly with
good looking young women.
Susan Ryan has great compassion and
has always cared for who was injured on
the playground. It is only natural that she
should be a "Child Care Worker."
The only time Susan is not kindly caring
for someone, is when she is hitting John.
However. this is brought on by his sharp
tongue, and must be considered self
defense.
April Traynor has a passion for horses.
and could enjoy every minute of thQ day,
just spending time with these beautiful
animals. It is therefore, no small wonder
that April wishes to become a veterinarian
and dedicate her life to all creatures great
and small.
Nanisy Visouvath is our model French
student, who could just as easily become a
French model for some Paris designer.
She would like to be an advertising agent,
and we think she would do quite well, and
she watches a great deal of television. and
she is never seen without her Teen
magazine.
Kim Sweeney has a true love for young
children and she wishes to utilize this gift
by persuing a career in child therapy. Our
class has needed and appreciated the
therapy that Kim tried to give us
throughout the year.
\Ve are sure that Kini will do very well
and perhaps will be able to use her great
talent of knowing everything and telling it
loudly.
Everyday is a fa,hlon show when Fiona
Bennett arrives at school. She doesn't just
get dressed, but rather she creates an ex-
otic and flamboyant outfit. We all agree
with Fiona's decision to become a fashion
designer arrd with her talent and high
energy, we're sure she'll knock'em dead.
Cathy Van Bakel has been an inspiration
to us all through each and every school
year. She has consistently achieved very
high grades in every subject. We are con-
vinced that Cathy could be absolutely
anything she decided to be.
She has a very good social life as well as
an excellent academic life, which is a fine
balancing act, perhaps that's the reason
she wants to be an interior designer.
Sandy Ryan has the ability to speak so
fast that we believe her computer brain is
progranuned in fast forward. We may
have our moments that we don't unders-
tand her, but she is totally understanding.
This quality, along with her caring, kind-
ness and gentleness will be assets in her
chosen career. Sandy wishes to become a
registered nurse and we all know how truly

qualified she is.
Kenny Bos, the class' fair-haired boy
and agricultural representative. Kenny is
presently engaged in farming at home and
doing some freelance work at other farms.
We're not sure what Kenny's future has in
store, but he has a remarkable talent for
wood carving and can produce some
marvelous works of art.
Kenny has one small problem, making
rude continents in French class, but
perhaps he doesn't understand the
language.
The tenth member of the class is myself,
Nicole Garon, and I have many hopes and
dreams for the future. This evening is a
dream come true. I, as the valedictorian,
have had 'the honor and privilege to ad-•
dress this assembly and pay homage to all
• the wonderful people who have helped
mold this St. Joseph's graduating class of
1987.
In closing, I wish to leave you with some
cherished advice, that we can all carry in-
to our future.
"If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't.
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world you'll find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind."
