"We all clone got a real good education"
jokes Clinton Public School's valedictorian
By Jane Guse
Clinton Public School
Hi
I am here to tell you that we all done got'
a real good education learned from Clinton
Public School. Mr. A. teached us.
Because 1 done special good, I am your
class vala... vala... Yo, Bergy, what am I
again?
Master of Ceremonies, head table
Guestss, fellow graduates, ladies and
gentlemen...
As class valedictorian, I am both happy
and sad to bring farewells on behalf of my
fellow graduates. Happy... because after
tonight, there is no more school until
September 8t Sad, because for some of us,
this marks the end of nine years of
togetherness.
Our class history started in
kindergarten, with Jason, Cheri, Debbi,
Marci and I. In Grade 1, we gained Megan,
Sharon, Ruth, Julie and Jeff. Since then,
we've picked up more friends, and today,
we number 45 strong.
In a world where people are strangers,
isn't it nice to know that our Grade 8 class
will always be friends.
So... I am not going to say goodbye to my
friends, but to Clinton Public School.
This reminds me of some things I am
sure we would all like to say farewell to:
Goodbye hotdogs, so long cheese, goodbye
Mr. A.
And my own personal favourite... good
riddance Maitland Block!
I would also like to say a sorrowful good-
bye to this year's buddies. This worthwhile
program has touched us all.
Now... on to the future... High School!

We are looking foreward to it, but I am
sure we will find it challenging. In Grade 9,
the work will be hard, the assignments dif-
ficult too, but there is also the excitement
of meeting many new friends... and star-
ting a new history - for our high school
graduating class.
My own wish is that everyone is suc-
cessful and able to make the most of their
lives - whatever they wish for themselves.
I hope all your dreams come true.
An important occasion such as this
deserves special attention. For this
reason, I have created my own Clinton
Public School version of the Gusie
A wards :
For the best start in life - Mrs. Rogerson.
For the funniest teacher - Miss Westlake
and her elephant jokes.
For the most exciting project - Mr.
Culp's Grade 6 Acne Project.
For the best all-round class - Mrs.
Bergmann's Grade
Teacher most like to have a nervous
breakdown - also won by Mrs. Bergmann.
For the neatest classroom - Mr. Ad-
dison's Grade 8. And... My top award... for
the strangest teacher... Mr. Addison'
In closing, I would like to acknowledge
the teachers of Clinton Public School. By
their work, they have sent us on the road to
success. Would all teachers please stand to
receive our appreciation.
I know you are devastated by our
departure!
I have also heard the Grade 9 CHSS
teachers have all asked for a transfer. I
wonder why???
Thank you. Good night.
