Bill Patterson of Clinton won $68 in share the wealth and Jan Hutton of Goderich won $85 in shar,e the wealth. During the first regular game, Grace Gilfillan and Elaine Josling, both of Clinton, were winners. Game two saw Tiny BeDour of Goderich and Marg Counter of Clinton win. Dave Jewitt of Lucknow, John Durnin of Goderich, Annie Cronin of St. Columban and Debby Somerville of RR4 Walton were win- ners of game three. Gloria Allaway of Vanastra and Beverley Harris of Clinton won game four and Bev McDonald of Clin- ton and Lois Brown of Seaforth were game five winners. Game six was won by Cathy Campbell of Goderich and Garry Robinson of Seaforth. Game seven went to Minlue Rumball of Clinton and Mike Darling of RR4 Wingham. Linda Reinhart of Clinton and Cecile Meidinger of Zurich were the winners of game 8. Game nine was won by Vietta M. George and Y. Weinnink of RR2 Goderich. Game 10 went to Mary Turner of London and Joan Dunn of Goderich. The Enterprising Seniors will meet June 18 at 8 p.m. in the community centre. SUNDAY JUNE 21 9 45 Service at Holmesville Sunday School Anniversary 11 00 o m Service at Wesley Willis Holy Communion Eve one Welcome Alice McPherson E.M. Alice McPherson of Huronview and formerly of Clinton, died in Huronview on June 7. She was 91 years old. Mrs. McPherson was born in Blanshard Township on June 9, 1895 to the late Henry Edward and Mary (Marriott) Switzer. In 1914 she married William John McPherson. She is survived by three sons, Carman and Harold, both of Clinton, and Murray of Alex- ander, Virginia. Mrs. McPherson is also survived by 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1964 as well as by one son, Ross, two sisters, Mae and Myrtle and one brother, Roy. A funeral service was held on June 10 at Beattie Funeral Home, Clinton, with Walter Gardiner officiating. Interment in Clinton Cemetery. Theda Williams Theda Lorraine Williams, of Vanastra, died in Clinton Public Hospital on June 9. She was 6$ years old. Mrs. Williams was born on March 16, 1919 to the late Joseph Henry and Lydia Pearl ( Johhston) Freeman in Tuckersmith Township. On June 29, 1941 she married Frank Williams in St. Paul's Rectory, Clinton. Following their marriage, they moved to Tillsonburg and then in 1944 they moved to Toronto where they resided until 1946 when they moved to Coldwater to buy the Col- dwater News. They ran that paper until 1956 when they sold it and moved to Guelph where they pur- chased a printing business. They owned this business until 1975 when they sold it and retired, moving to live in both Florida and the Bahamas. In 1978 they returned to Canada, moving to Wasaga Beach and then to Vanastra in 1982 where they have resided since. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Anglican church and was once an active member in the lioness Club in both Col- dwater and Guelph. She was also an active member of the Ladies' Guild of the Anglican Church and the Women's institute. She is survived by her husband, one daughter Lydia and her husband Kevin Linegar of Churchill; two sons, Wayne and his wife Diane of Brampton and Joseph and his wife Daphne of Bloomingdale: as well as grandchildren, Marjorie Williams, Carrie Williams, Annette Williams, Tammie Williams, Adele Williams, Stephanie Williams. Amanda l,inegar and Kirk Williams. Mrs Williams is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Cale ( Verna) Doucette of RR4 Clinton and two brothers, Douglas Freeman of Clinton and Clarence Freeman of Goderich. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry and Louis Freeman. .11 .• v A funeral service was held on June 12 at Ball and Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton, , with Rev. Thomas Appleton of St. Matthews Anglican Church, Burlington, officiating. Flower bearers were her seven grand- daughters, Marjorie Williams, Carrie Williams, Annette Williams, Tammie , Williams, Adele Williams, Stephanie.; Williams and Amanda Linegar. Pallbearers were sons, Wayne and Joseph Williams, grandson Kirk Williams, son-in- law Kevin Linegar, brothers Douglas and Clarence Freeman and brother-in-law Cale Doucette. Interment in Clinton Cemetery. HARVEY MacDOUGALL On May 25, Harvey A. MacDougall of Bayfield, died in University Hospital at the..; age of 82. He was born in Chicago but moved with his parents at an early age to the 4th conces- sion of Kinloss, near Lucknow. Educated at the 'Grey Ox' and the Lucknow High School, he entered Teachers' College in Toronto and 2 began a teaching career In Ontario and the; , west. :• 1 Always concerned with the welfare others, he became actively involved with co- operatives in their earliest forms, always trying to better living conditions for others.:* Eventually he found it necessary to move " 1 to the West for health reasons, and while there, was active in the tourist business at Jasper. Quite a number of years were then spent in the North West 'Territories and the Queen Charlotte Islands. Improvements in his health enabled him to return to Ontario, and once again he became involved with co-operative work by accepting a position with the Co-operators Insurance. At this time he married Doris Soden of Willowdale, and from 1952 to 1969 he served in offices in Toronto, Owen Sound, and Guelph, until his retirement to Bayfield. Never one to be idle, and proud of his Scot- tish ancestry, he worked diligently for several years to establish a memorial to the early settlers from the Isle of Skye, who had settled in the Grey ()x area of Kinloss.
