The Auxiliary to the Clinton Public Hospital held a pot -luck lunch on June 1 at the home
of Kristy Harrett. Some of the 37 members present were seated on the deck. They are

honors graduate
VARNA - Following the convocation
ceremony of Michael Coleman on May 30, a
family dinner was held in his honor at the
Knotty Pine Restaurant and guests who at-
tended from Bayfield, Brantford, Walker-
ton, Varna and Zurich enjoyed the evening
at the home of Sandra Coleman in Waterloo.
Michael received his Bachelor of Applied
Science degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Waterloo.

Golden Radars
CLINTON - The Golden Radars held their
meeting June :3 with 50 present.
The business was conducted and approved
then the draws were made. The quilt was
won by Judy Lee of Clinton and the afghan
was won by Ruby Le Faive of Varna and the
shawl was won by Verna Glazier of Clinton.
The Golden Radars appreciated those who
bought tickets or helped in any way.
The group is invited to Huronview and
about 30 plan to attend. Gwen Watson and
.Joe Boland entertained on. the piano and
violin. Then. euchre was played with win-
ners: high, Isabelle Batkins and Ida Godk-
ins; low, Elmer Trick and Willa Taylor;
lone hands were won by Verna Glazier.

UNITED CHURCH SERVICE
The South Huron Male Gospel Singers pro-
vided beautiful music for Pentecost Sunday
at the Hensall United Church, June 7.
'1'he Junior Choir sang In my Heart There
Rings a Melody with Soloist Mindy Bell, and
Jacob's Ladder.
In place of a sermon Tim Brock and
Sharon Wurm told of their experiences at
the General Conference in Sault Ste. Marie
two weeks ago.
• Linda I Dani Crerar was received into
membership by transfer of certificate from
Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall.
Karen Hartman dedicated a Service Book in
memory of her grandparents and two
uncles. Dorothy Corbett greated worship-
pers at the door and ushers were Don Steb-
bins and son Bill, Mark Consitt and Wayne
Corbett.
On Monday, .June 1, Hensall P.C.W.
celebrated their 97th birthday. The meeting
was held at Carmel Presbyterian Church
with guest Eleanor Stevenson, 1st vice-
nresident of the Stratford Presbyterial.

United Church Women was held June 1.
Grace Drummond led in the worship
celebration of the 25th anniversary of the
U.C.W.
A candle lighting ceremony was con-
ducted by Dorothy Britnell, Belva Fuss and
Grace Drummond. The three candles
represented the past, present and future of
the U.C.W. Grace explained the 25th an-
niversary symbol and then very capably
told the history of the women's organization.
