Mrs. M. Evelyn Brown, the former Margaret
Evelyn French, 87 years of age, a resident of the
Meodowpark Nursing Home and formerly of RR
1, Chatham. passed away at the Public General
Hospital Chothom, on Wednesday. May 20.
1987 She was born in Camden Twp , daughter of
the late Harry J. French and the former Mary
Ellen Huff and hod lived in the Chatham Oreo all
her life. She was a member of French's United
Church and a Life Member of the UCW of French's
church. Her husband Nelson Arnold Brown
predeceased in October 1954 Surviving are 1
daughter Mary (Mrs Robert Peel) of RR 1,
Auburn, and 1 son Thomas Nelson Brown and
daughter -in -low Alice of RR 1 Chothom. 8 grand-
children Allan Peel. Audrey Jackson, Cathy Cor•
diff, Fred Peel. Norma Jean Hansen, Martha
McKerlie, Peggy Brown, and Jill Brown, and 1

Catherine (Mrs. Wilfred) Gliders, Jim, Nelson
and Renald Young, all of Calgary and Norman

grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Predeceased by one sister Mrs. Mary Johnston

thoughfulness at our tragic loss. To all the
Brucefield firemen, most especially Charlie
Broadfoot and Bob Caldwell; to Dr. Keith Hay and
to the emergency room nurses at Clinton
Hospital for your kindness and support A special
thanks to our families, friends and neighbours
for their many floral tributes, charity donations
and gifts of food. Our heartfelt thanks to the
many firemen from across Ontario who attended
the funeral to form the honour guard. The
strength that was shown will never be forgotten.
