(David Emslie photo) DINNER THEATRE Don't wait - CLINTON - This Friday and Saturday, May 22 and 23, lucky patrons of Central Huron's annual year end Dinner Theatre will again enjoy a marvelous meal and a lively theatrical production. This is CHSS's fourth year of hosting a dinner theatre and each year the event draws a larger audience than before. The Drama Club's annual offer- ing is starting to become somewhat of a small community tradition that many peo- ple hesitate to miss. This year the cuisine is Italian. Guests will be seated at small cozy tables at our dockside cafe. Here they will feast on a variety of fresh delectibles. Our talented chefs have prepared fine antipasto to tempt your discerning palate. Enjoy a wide range or marinated vegetable salads and fruits. For those with a love for garlic, fear not, as we have a Ceasar salad which is second to none. Pasta dishes abound. Succurll`t to our tortellini with a rich and colorful cream sauce. Maybe a veal dish is more to your liking with authentic prosciutto filling. We have something to tempt and please everyone. Of course, your meal will be served buffet style so you may come back as often as you wish. Traditional fresh fruit and a •variety of seldom seen cheeses will round out the feast. The meal alone would cost more than double our charge anywhere else, and we are giving you still more... For many years the public has enjoyed a wide variety of theatrical productions at CHSS. Each year the final production is looked forward too with special anticipation as it is usually the most ambitious and cleverly staged. This year will be no excep- tion. Patrons of the Dinner Theatre on the Friday and Saturday evenings will be enter- tained after their meal with the wildly suc- cessful Broadway show cailed Scapino. This play, set in Naples, is the perfect comple- ment to the meal. You'll enjoy the antics of lazy waitresses and over -fed waiters, exotic gypsies and love -struck young men, stub- born fathers and lost -daughters as they prepare the stage for a play rich in comic misunderstandings, artful tricks and far- cical deceits, and just plain good old- fashioned fun. Scapino is a mad theatrical romp with unbelievable zest and a stage style all of its own. It is the wildest and fun- niest bit of monkey -shine farce seen on stages in a long while. As one New York critic recently stated, "See this Naples and die laughing". If you miss Scapino, you're crazy, and if you let your kids miss it, you're simply inhuman. Scapino is a play for peo- ple of all ages. What does all this cost? You're saying that there has to be a catch somewhere. Nothing this good can be affordable by all. Wrong! Tickets for the dinner and the show are only $13.95. Remember what you are getting: nearly four hours of superb enter- tainment with great food (and no dishes to wash) -and a comedy suited • for all au- diences, for the one low price of $13.95. Sure the big cities have dinner theatres but their prices start at double ours. Why not plan now to reserve either Friday or Saturday night to come and see Scapino and enjoy some fine authentic Italian cuisine. To order tickets call the school at 482-3471. Tickets do go quickly, so to avoid disap- pointment may we suggest you do so pronto! No tickets will be sold at the door. Bring a friend or come with a group and enjoy the hard work and talent of scores of young people who have worked enthusiastically to make this annual event possible and suc- cessful. Call 482-3471 today for your tickets! Tomorrow may be too late!
