When Bill and Marg Fleming decide to throw a barbecue, they really throw a barbecue.
Approximately 1,100 half chickens were cooked at the Fleming's pit at Fleming Feed
Mill for the Giant Chicken Barbecue held on the evening of May 16.

Clinton's Klompen Feest had a most
distinguished guest to help them kickoff the
weekend celebrations. His Excellency the
Amhassahor of The Netherlands, Jan
Bremer, was on hand with other visiting
dignitaries to help with the official opening.
Many of the local schools made their contributions to Klompen Feest through entering a
float in the parade. Hullett Central School's Tribute to Agriculture float featured this
travelling hand.

the show in front of the grandstand. They performed twice on the outdoor stage. before

The Klnmpettes, part of the Huron -Perth New Canadian Club Klompen dancers, were
part of the May 15•entertainment that took to the stage in the arena. In the Klnmpettes
a're Kim Roersen, Melanie Segeren, Anne Marie Huitema and Michelle Koert.
This float, from Sid Bruinsma Exc. Ltd. of Goderieh, was an eye balloons. Many out of town floats were entered in this year's
catcher for the children in the audience with its abundance of parade. -A
