Organ grinder will visit
Just picture yourself in a
quiet park, tulips blooming and
you're sitting on a park bench
with a windmill behind you.
Now if you've got this image
firmly fixed in your mind, add a
street organ with its operator
dressed in Dutch clothing and
his monkey collecting the
money.
Yes, Klompen Feest goers, a
Holland treat is coming to
Clinton.
Mr. J. Witteveen and his
faithful companion, Susie, will
be spending May 16 in Cliriton,
playing music and talking to
those passing by.
Mr. Witteveen had his 32 pipe
Dutch Street Organ built just
for him about five or six years
ago in Holland. The machine is
portable and works on cards
which are similar to computer
cards.
While the street organ is
playing, and Susie is collecting,
Mr. Witteveen Ls making sure
every -hing is in top notch work-
ing condition.
Holland in living color
Ever been to Holland? If you
haven't, the Clinton Legion is
the place to be on May 16 at 4
p.m. and 7 p.m. And if you have
been to Holland, still stop in.
