FORECASTS FCR NOVEllIBER.- Rev.
Irl. Hick's forecasts for the week
ending 13th show some varied changes
in the weather. -Rain and high tem-
perature will give way to rising ba-
rometer, with possibly gusts of snow,
westerly winds and much colder on
the western edge of the storm centers.
Some sharp days of cold and frost to
the northward will follow this and
other November storm periods. About
the 5th,6th and 7th look for noticeable
rise in temperature,•falling barometer
and return of general storm condi-
tions. Rains turning to -snow in the
north, will visit most sections of the
country, in their eastward march a-
bout the 5th to 8th. A marked change
to high barometer and colder will fol-
low the storine, spreading to the east
q nd south about the 7th to 9th inane -
ye. The Vulcan storm period, ex-
t nding from the 10th to the 15th, is
c ntral on the 12th and the Mercury
period, extending from the 7th to the
C9th, is central on the 13th, hence the
ombined perturbations of these two
orgies will be felt during the Vulcan
period. Moon is in perigee on the
'10th, at last quarter on the lith, apd
on the celestial equator, going south-
ward on the 14th.

e continued to grow worse and be-
e me afterward completely unconsc-
ions gradually sinking away as above
elated. Deceased was born in Crow -
combo, Somerset, England, and was
'about 66 years of age. He with his
;wife who pre -deceased him about
-four years and a half ago came to
(Exeter 24 years ago and has resided
There ever since, having made a trip to
the Old Country some.few years ago.
The deceased since coming to Exeter
worked almost continuously at his
trade, painting, being a skilled work -
workman. He was of a retiring quiet
disposition and a member of Trivitt
Memorial church where his remains
were conyeyed on Wednesday and
funeral services field after which his
remains were interred in Exeter Union
Burial Ground. The deceased Ieaves
no family, Mrs, Robert Dinney at
whose home he passed away being his
adopted daughter. Mrs. John Small-
acombe is a sister.
Ntreexa.s,-A very pretty wedding
was solemnized on Wednesday after-
noon at the home of the bride's moth-
er, when Miss Ida Marjorie Johns,
daughter of the late David Johns, was
united in marriage to Mr. William T.
Goodison, of Sarnia. Only relatives
and a few immediate friends being
present. White carnations and smi-
lax decorated the drawing rooms and
in the bay window where the nuptial
knot was tied by Rev. Wm. Godwin,
a bell of carnations entwined with
green was suspended over the happy
couple. The bride who was given
away by her uncle, Mr. James Whim-
ster, of Aurora made a charming pic-
ture attired in a beautiful gown of
white silk! Eolienne over white taff-
ecta, with continuous rows of white
silk fagoting, the bodice being taste-
fully draped and trimmed with seed
pearls, her tulle veil caught with
white rosebuds and carrying a shower
briquet of bridal roses. The brides-
maid Miss Lillian Jobns, sister of the
bride, was gowned in pale grey voile
over pink taffeta, showing insertions
and trimmings in fagoting and cream
medallions. The groom was support-
ed by Mr.Andrew Johnston,of Sarnia.
The bridal parlay entered the parlor to
the strains of Mendelsshons Wedding
march played by Miss Nettie Martin.
After the usual congratulations a very
tastily arranged dejeuner was partak-
en of after which Mr. and Mrs. Goodi-
son left on the 5.20 train for Toronto
and Montreal where a short honey-
moon will be spent after which they
will take up their residence in Sarnia.
The presents bestowed upon bride and
groom by their friends here arid else-
where were in evidence of the high es-
teem in which the young couple are
held, conspiscuous among which
was a beautiful silver nut -bowl a gift
from the Main Street Methodist choir
of which the bride has long been a
valued member. The bride has been
largely entertained during the weeks
preceeding the wedding; Among the
more recent affairs was a kitchen
shower at the home of Mrs. John
White by her young lady friends.
Misses Huston, Miss Sanders and Mrs.
W. J. Neaman alsoivin social
evenings:- Mrs, Goodison will be
missed alit social and church circles in
which she ever took a wilting and ac-
tive part. The best wishes of a host
of friends follow the happy couple.

Having bought out the entire stock
of the late James Willis, we are in a
better position than ever to sell Lum-
ber, Shingles, Lath and all Building
Material at lowest. prices. The com-
bined stock of Shingles as contained
in both yards is heavier than wish
to carry, so we purpose to make a
material reduction in the price of
Shingles_ until we get our stock re-.
duced. Take advantage of the redue-
tion.
We thank the people of Exeter and
the surrounding country for their
patronage in the past, and solicit a
continuante of their custom. Our
motto Is smaller profits and quicker
