Page 20---CLINTON NEWS -RECORD, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 1987 Central Band to perform at Klompen Feest CLINTON - Canada's premier military music organization, The Central Band, of the Canadian Forces is composed of a very talented group of specially selected musi- cians, who have been chosen from within the rank structure of the Music Branch of The Canadian Forces. This group will be appear- ing at the seventh annual Klompen Feest to be held in Clinton from May 15 to 17. These musicians have chosen a profes- sional career in music and The Canadian Forces as a professional lifestyle to demonstrate their unique versatility and talent by their ability to form several in- dependent groups from within the Band. These musical groups are known as: The Serenade of Strings ( String Orch.) ; The Ambassadors Stage Band; The Heraldic Fanfare Trumpets; The Symphonic Concert Band and The Ceremonial' March Band. Also featured with these versatile musical ensembles are a number of outstanding in- strumental and vocal soloists, which pro- vide a highly entertaining ingredient to all performances that encompass the entire musical spectrum from Sousa to Symphony to Swing. As a result of it's many thousands of kilometers of travel each year, both in Canada and abroad, Central Band has achieved international recognition, and acclaim.
