Home and Garden Week
Over 1,300 area residents are active in horticultural societies
"National Garden Week" will be the focal point for promotions and ac-
tivities designed to increase public interest in gardening and to ac-
quaint them with the benefits. It will also be used to encourage those who
do not presently garden to become active in this worthwhile endeavour.
"National Garden Week" will recognize the efforts of millions of Cana-
dian households that eagerly garden annually.
Over 1,300 Huron County residents are involved in their local Hor-
ticultural Societies. The objectives of Horticultural Societies are to en-
courage interest and improvement in horticulture. Every person sixteen
years old or over is entitled to become a member of a society.
Become involved in the projects of your local Horticultural Society.

Gardening Note
June 16 to 18, the Ontario Horticultural
Association is holding its annual convention
at Queen's University in Kingston.
The lectures and displays are open to the
public.
