That adage could easily apply to the Goderich Home and Garden Show spon sored by the Goderich Figure Skating Club. Last year the club hosted the first home and garden show and offered an ambitious program of events and varied displays on the arena floor. The 1987 edition of the Home and Garden Show, the second annual, will feature more exhibitors from Goderich and surrounding area. There were 52 ex- hibitors in the show last year and organizer Heather Wheeler said this year's edition will feature 68 booths on the arena floor. The show will run for three days begin- ning at 6 p.m. Friday, April 24 through to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 26. Besides exhibits from 68 businesses in the area the show will also feature a tea garden, free entertainment, karate and aerobic demonstrations, and numerous fashion sho*s sponsored by several area clothing stores and boutiques. The show will run form 6 to 9 p.m. Fri- day; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $1 for adults while children under 12 will be admitted free. On.Friday evening, a fashion show featuring the fashions of Off Beat will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the arena auditorium and will be followed by a show sponsored by The Old Mill of Blyth at 7:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. there will be a demonstration by members of Ron Tyn- dall's Karate School. Ori Saturday in the auditorium, enter- tainment will be provided by Grant Ellison's trio, Cool Energy, and will be followed by a fashion show by Rosemary's of Goderich at 2 p.m. Anne Marie Blacker will provide an aerobic demonstration at 3 p.m. and karate will follow at 4 p.m. A fashion show by Samantha's of Suncoast Mall will wind up the evening at 7 p.m. Children's apparel will be highlighted in a 2 p.m. fashion show Sunday spon- sored by Kid's World and fashions from Samantha's will follow at 3 p.m. The Home and Garden Show, which has become the principle fund-raising event for the Goderich Figure Skating Club, Turn to page 5 • O 1Ef MDR ow Home Show everything TRAVEL IS OUR ONLY usiNEs WE'LL BE THERE!
