Ladies of Canadian Forresters cater o from page 6 Public Hospital on April 7. Visiting with Dori} Shobbrook from April 8-10 was her daughter Muriel Millson of Woodstock. Her brother, Leonard Vodden of Paris, visited on April 10 and on April 11-12 her granddaughters Patricia and Sarah Millson visited. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Radford of London visited on the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Eedy of Denfield visited on March 12 with Beth Knox. The family of Lorne and Addie Hunking honored them on the occasion of their 45th wedding anniversary. The ladies of the village are reminded of the upcoming events involving village residents. A monetary donation of $5.00 per gift would be appreciated by the village committee for the gift purchase. Learning Retreat Doreen and Glen Carter attended a learn- ing and information retreat at the Oakwood Golf and Country Club in Grand Bend. The retreat was sponsored by the South Huron Association for the Mentally Han- dicapped, and it ran on April 10 and April 11. The retreat brought about new ideas, in- formation and feedback from the coun- cillors, board members, association clients and parents and members of the association. Snihur welcomed all and gave the following announcements. The Good Friday service will be held at 8 p.m. The family Easter service will be held at 11 a.m. There will be no Sunday school, but there will be a nursery for the little ones. Many new members were received into the church during the April 12 service. Pitching clinic offered in Walton The April meeting of the Walton Area Sports Club was held at the library on April 6, 1987. Dave Gamble presided over the meeting. Bev Stevenson gave the secretary's report and the treasurer's report was given by Er- nie Lewington. Discussions followed on the upcoming ball season. Plans were made for a Pitching Clinic to be held again this year. The date is June 6. Speculations on the warning track were discussed. The May meeting will beheld on May 4 at the Walton library at 8 p.m. An extra meeting for the Walton Area Sports Club was held on April 8. The committee cleaned the booth and sorted out hall equipment and uniforms. A new flag was also installed. Discussions followed on updating the play equipment and painting bleachers. An outdoor work day will be held April 18 and possibly April 25 depending on the weather.
