Patti Maguire was the tbp bowler for the
Senior ladies on February 25 with the high
single of 209, the high triple at 596 and the
high average of 174. Shawn Gautreau was
the overall winner for the men with the high
single of 209, the high triple at 561 and the
high, average of 182. For the Junior ladies
Colleen McAdam had the high single with
189, the high triple at 502 and the high
average of 161. Steven Lostell had the high
single with 253 as well as the high triple at
612 while Doug Maguire had the high
average of 172.

the high single for the Senior ladies with 244
and the high triple at 603 while Patti
Maguire had the high average of 175. Steve
Swan had the high single for the men with
211 as well as the high triple at p9 while
Shawn Gautreau had the high average of
182. In the Junior ladies' division Colleen
McAdam had the high single and. the high
average with scores of 170 and 161 respec-
tively and Loisanne Lostell had the high tri-
ple at 453. Doug Maguire had the high single
with 247 and the high average of 173 for the
men while Steven Lostell had the high triple
at 563.

while Susan Proctor was the runner-up for
the high average with 188. The hidden score
was won by Arlene Salverda with 128.
Those ladies that bowled games over 200

Nancy Atkinson was the top bowler for the
ladies on March 5 with the high single of 260,
the high triple at 678 and the high average of
206. For the men Bill Van Damme had the
high single with 299 and the high triple at 801
while Doug Buchanan had the high average
of 221.
Pee Wee and Bantam YBC
Family Feud at Vanastra curling
lie annual "Family Feud" was held at
the Vanastra Curling Club with family
members forming a rink to challenge each
other in a fun event.
After two six end games, and three draws,
Murray Adam's rink of wife Ann, daughter
Loyann and son Graham were presented the
Davis Trophy by Barry Davis for ac-
cumulating the most points for the day.
Allan Hayter's family rink placed second
with Shelli, Kim and Tracy. In third place
was Barry Davis with wife Sheila, Ronnie
and Cathy.
Such an enjoyable family get-together
would not have been possible without the
sponsors; Clinton Credit Union, Royal Bank,
and the Bank of Montreal. Sincere thanks
from all participants to these sponsors. Two
50/50 draws were held with winners being
Bob Hayter and Ross McBeath. Organizers
Bob and Sandi Hayter are to be commended
for a well organized day.
Ladies Open Spiel
Anstett Jewellers sponsored a Ladies'
Open Spiel at the club on March 7 with
teams participating from Seaforth,
Goderich, Exeter, Walkerton, Behnore and
Vanastra.
Once again the men quite capably acted
as chefs, bakers, servers, dishwashers, etc.

Jennifer Burt was the high bowler for the
Bantam girls with the high single of 178, the
high double at 339 and the high average of
157. In the Bantam boys division Tim Elliott
had the high single with 211 while Kevin
Meade had the high double of 385 and Dale
Marsh had the high average of 161. The
honors were split between two bowlers for
the Pee Wee girls as Michelle Schropshall
had the high single with 128 and the high
double at 242 while Michele Tyndall had the
high average of 88. Stephen King was the top
bowler for the boys with the high single of
140, the high double at 235 and the high
rink sees Adam's
and served superb food throughout the day.
They're most efficient.
Winners of the First Draw was Bernice
Moore's team from Goderich with skip -
Eleanor Erskine, vice Lynn Edward, se-
cond, Emily Crew and lead, Bernice Moore.
In second place was Trudy Hill's rink
from Vanastra. Consolation went to Mary
Pickle's rink of Exeter.
Winner of the second draw was Audrey
Triebner's rink from Vanastra with Doris
Cantelon, Gwen Davis and Eleanor
Henderick.
Fern Dougall from Exeter skipped her
team to second place.
Consolation winners were Gladys Rock's
team from Seaforth.

while Marion van Wyk had the high triple at
567 and Ann de Weerd had the high average
of 184. Jack Snieder had the high single and
high triple for the men with scores of 285 and
681 respectively while Angus Hummel had
the high average of 212.
Those bowlers that rolled games over 200
included: Rose Hummel, 222; Marion van
Wyk, 209; Diane Bruinsma, 206; JoAnn de
Weerd, 203; Gieny Tiesma, 200; Clarence

presented the overall winners, Bernice
Moore's rink from Goderich with an Anstett
pin.
The lucky winners of the elimination draw
were Mary Gaureluk of the first draw and
Nancy Kraemer of the second draw.
Many curlers were fortunate to win draw
prizes thanks to the donors. The Dutch
Store, Verbeek's Farm and Garden Centre,
Base Factory Outlet, and Hilda Veenstra,
June Cooper, and Eileen Townsend who
donated lovely handmade articles. Your
contributions are greatly appreciated.

Wingham spiel
A rink of Doris Cantelon, Hilda Veenstra,
Vera McLean and Mary Fotheringham curl-
ed in Wingham this week and placed second.
Murray and Ann Adams and Sue and Tim
Beard also curled in a mixed spiel in
Wingham March 7 and also did quite well.
Mary Helen McLachlan, Marg Rogerson,
Shirley Carter and Marlene -Munn braved it
to Listowel on March 7. They had a great
day.
Question of the week. When do Skips ask
members of their rink to remove their own
rock from the house?
Atoms take Goderich by ,five goals
In an exhibition game on March 3 the Clin-
ton Atoms downed Goderich' 7-2.
In the first period Mark Livermore open-
ed up the scoring at the 22 second mark to
give Clinton a 1-0 lead. Danny Wildfong and
Shane MacDonald assisted on the marker.
Before the period had ended Lee Gibbings
scored on some nice passing from Nathan
Burns and Shane MacDonald.
In the second period Clinton scored three
unanswered goals to increase their lead' to
5-0. At 1:26 Shane MacDonald wrist shot
from the far corner on a set up from Danny
Wildfong. Three minutes later Chris Ken-
nedy scored back to back goals at 5:32 and
6:03. The first Kennedy goal was assisted by
Shane MacDonald and Mark Livermore and
his second marker was set up by Mark
Livermore.
In the third session Goderich and Clinton
traded two goals each. Danny Wildfong
scored both Clinton goals. Mark Livermore
assisted on both the Wildfong goals.
