Bantams host London for Hockey Days
Clinton Bantam "Classics" hosted the
London AA Jets, managed by a former Clin-

Day, February 4.
Everyone came to play and the pace was
fast and exciting.
London wasted no time getting on the
score sheet at the five second mark of the
first period. The shock seemed to get Clinton
in gear and at the 4:46 mark, Clinton
defenseman Devon Colquhoun scored an
unassisted goal to even the score.
Steven Vandendool than.scored at the 5:12
mark, with assists to Norris Flynn and Cur-
tis McCone to put Clinton ahead. London
evened the score at the buzzer, ending the
first period on a fluke goal.
The second period was fast . and well
played. Steve Vandendool scored his second
goal, with an assist to McCune to put the
locals up by one, late in the second period.
The third period began quickly with
defenseman Ian Kostier scoring, assisted by
Colquhoun and Flynn at the 54 second mark.
London than came back with another goal
and some tough checking
Derek Jefferson scored from Colquhoun
and Greg Mayhew, and although London
quickly followed with a goal of their own, the
score ended at 5-4 in Clinton's favour.
This was the best game Clinton has had
this year and a return gargle with London is
planned in the near future.
On February 5, the Clinton Bantams open-
ed their OMIIA playdowns at home with a
7-2 dumping of Durham.
The first period was scoreless.
