What
Christmas
means to me
The real meaning of Christmas to me is
when Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem.
Mary was going to have the promised child.
She would have him any day. Finally they
came to Bethlehem.
They went to many inns but all of them
were full. Then they came to one and the In-
nkeeper said he only had a stable. That
night there were shepherds out tending the
flocks. Then an angel appeared before
them. They were terrified. But the angel
said, "Do not be afraid. I am an angel of the
Lord. I bring you great joy. The Saviour is
born in Bethlehem. You will find him in a
manger."
So the shepherds went to Bethlehem.
Some wisemen were following a star and, it
led them to Bethlehem. The shepherds and
wise men gave gifts of gold and silver.

Danny's
dream
It was Christmas Eve in a small town out-
side of Fun Land, Ontario. Danny's mother
had just tucked him into bed.
Once Danny's mother was positive Danny
was asleep, she called Santa's wife and ask-
ed her to ask Santa if he would visit Danny
on Christmas Day.
Danny had just slipped into a deep
dreamy sleep. He found himself on a
hayride with all of his friends. Danny had
stretched out in the soft hay gazing at all of
the twinkling stars. He even spotted a
shooting star.
Then suddenly Santa flew overhead in his
sleigh which was filled with lots of presents
for all of the kids.
By the time he got over his excitement
they were rolling by his house. He leaped off
the fun filled wagon and darted into his
house. After being inside for awhile his
mother suggested that he should put some
milk and cookies out for Santa.
Danny's dream was becoming more ex-
citing by the second.
Danny was very anxious to see what Santa
had brought him, so he went out and stared
at all of the pretty boxes under the twinkling
tree. Danny had almost forgotten about the
cookies and milk he had left for Santa the
night before.
By the plate layed a small short note from
Santa. It read,
Dear Danny,
Thank you for the delicious cookies that
you left me. Rudolph enjoyed them, too.
Thanks Again
Santa Claus
P.S. I know you saw me last night.
At that moment, Danny was thinking
about Santa's home and what it must be
like, and how busy everyone must be.
At that moment Danny heard bells ring
and this time it was not a dream. It must be
Santa! Danny shot out to see the jolly man.

Christmas
without
any snow
Willie Fitton
The Christmas spirit would be lost without
snow. No snow would mean no more
snowmen or tobogganing. Christmas would
be boring without snow.
Snow maybe is a disgrace for drivers, but
snow can be fun sometimes. So don't try to
say snow is rotten or terrible 'cause snow
isn't all that bad.
Without snow on Christmas Eve, what
would Santa do? How would he deliver all
the toys and fun to all the good little boys
and girls. So every one should be happy that
snow comes every year.
Merry Christmas

When Santa got lost
It was a cold and stormy Christmas night
when everybody was sleeping. Not a soul
was heard, only a "Ho -ho -ho" and a "Ha -ha-
ha." Then it became foggy and Santa could
not see. He was lost in the little town of
Belgrave. In the morning the wind blew the
flags. It was a happy day.

On Christmas night it was very foggy, and
Santa could not see where he was going. And
his reindeer could not see where they were
going. And they landed on another place.
And Santa did not know where he was. And
he told the reindeer to go back home. And
they got home safely.

One Christmas Eve Santa was getting
ready for his long journey. Once he got go-
ing he got lost. He was in the middle of
nowhere. But then there was a little red
light.
"It, it, IT IS Rudolph!" yelled Santa.
"I thought you could use a little bit of
help."
"Why, thank you, Rudolph. I thank you
very much."
The next day the boys and girls were cry-
ing. But there was a big surprise a minute
later. Santa came to all the children.

It was very cold on Christmas night. Santa
was getting ready to go on his way. It was a
foggy night.
Santa was ready to go on a long trip, so
were the reindeer.
Santa got lost on the way.
Lucky for Santa that Rudolph was there,
or he would still be lost. Rudolph's shiny
nose led the way.
That night was a nice night for everybody.
Santa was the happiest that he had ever
been.
It was December 20. I hadn't finished my
Christmas shopping yet. Mom said she was
going to take me shopping today but, as
usual, she was busy.
I thought I would go skiing instead. So I
got dressed got my skies on and left.
When I got outside there was no snow. I
said to myself, this is weird. I went back in
the house and told mom. She lsai w o to mom.

"This is going to be Christmas without any
snow, how awful."
Christmas was fun after all. I got all the
things I wanted. But it just wasn't the same

him. Then she flew to the ice castle. And
there he was struggling to get out of the
hole, when Mrs. Claus swooped down to get
him out.
The reindeer started picking the hard,
cold ice. Soon Santa got loose.
He said, "Where is my sled?"
"I do not know. I'll give you a ride in my
sled."
"Okay, but what about the toys?"
The elves will have lots of toys ready when
we get back."
"Oh no! Here comes the snowman," said
Mrs. Claus.
"Just get moving please," said Santa.
As soon as they were back to the North
Pole, Santa said, "How will I get the toys to
all the little kids before the sun comes up?"
"I will let you take, my sled."
"Okay I'll do that."
Then the elves put all the toys in the sled
for Santa, And he did get to all the children
in the world. And Santa never forgot that
Christmas.

It was Christmas Eve and all through the
house, not a creature was stirring not even a
moust. The stockings were hung by the
chimney with care, hoping St. Nicholas
would soon be there. As Santa got on with his
delivering, he met the abominable
snowman. Santa knew he was in trouble. He
raced and raced but the abominable
snowman was too fast for Santa's reindeer.
Santa got caught. He tried some of his
magic, but it was no match for the giant
snowman.
Santa was lucky because in the ice castle
where the abominable snowman lives, there
was a small hole in the wall. It was just right
for the smallest reindeer; his name was
Rudolph. Rudolph flew as fast as he could.
As soon as he got to the North Pole he told
Mrs. Claus. She did not know what to do. So
she just ran out to the workshop where the
elves were making toys. The elves said,
"Get your sled and look for him."

Once upon a time, a while before
Christmas, Santa was busy with all his
elves, making toys for good little girls and
boys.
All the reindeer were busy playing. They
saw Rudolph, the red -nose reindeer. They
teased, "Red nose. Red nose," all the time
they saw him.
Some of the reindeer said, "Look at the
red nose reindeer."
"Ha, ha!" they said to Rudolph.
Then Cupid and Comet said, "That red
nose thing will keep us up all night tonight,
because tomorrow night we will be off."
Then big, fuzzy, loveable Santa came and
said, "Where is my list of all the good and
bad little girls and boys?"
"There it is." Santa said. "At least now I
can get my bag packed tonight for tomorrow
night."
Donner and Blitzen said, "We will have to
get Santa's sled. Will you guide my sled
tonight?"
And then Santa got all ready to go.
AND OFF THEY WENT!
Santa turned, but did not know it.
Rudolph said to Santa, "I think we're on
the wrong trail.
"Ho, ho, ho" said Santa, "We're always
on the right trail. But just then a present fell
down, down to the ground.
Kerplunk!
It was down now!
"What will we do now? said Donner and
Blitzen.
Santa said, We will have to do without it
now."
Vixen said, "We won't have enough
presents for all of those good boys and
girls."
"Ho, ho, no!" said Santa. "We're lost!"
"We're not in the city or country?"
Where was he?
Then he snapped his fingers and landed at
home again.
On Christmas Eve after dad went to bed,
I peeked downstairs and stared in dread,'
For Santa Claus (I think it was him),
Was wearing red trunks and looking so
grim.
He winked at me and turned his head,
And then he told me to go back to bed,
I turned right around,
Not making a sound.
I gazed out the window and to my surprise,

There was not any snow, but then at sunrise,
The sun went away,
And the snow fell hooray!
