It is big and full. Mr. Waker cut it down with some other grades that were older, like the Grade 5s and up. This took place at 12:20 - 12:40 and longer. But Mr. Siertsema was back there so younger students had to go back to the school because it was going into our school time so I had to go back because I am in Grade 3 and it was going into Silent Reading so I had to go back with Mr. Siert- sema while the other people carried it back. By Charlene Townsend Grade 3 Huron Centennial School December 10 at middle resses. Mr. Walker was out on yard dody. So was Mr. Siertsema. Mr. Walker took us to the bush to find a Christmas tree for the gym. We found one and pulled it down. By Jill Carnochan Huron Centennial School Grade 3 A v s. It is nice to give each other gifts at Christmas but that should not be the main reason of celebrating Christmas. Melissa Feddes, Grade 4, CDCS The real meaning of Christmas isn't Santa or presents. It is when Christ is born. God gave His only Son on Christmas Day. Then it is time to celebrate at home and at church for Jesus is born. That is why Christmas is so important to me. Marcia Feddes Grade 4 CDCS The real meaning of Christmas As the month of Christmas slowly appears, Even the grown-ups give out loud cheers, For children know when Christmas rolls 'round, And parents sing carols with joyful of sound. Some people seem to forget the meaning of this season, It was the month God sent his only son, Jesus was born in a little stable inn, He was born so that his people would be free of sin. What Christmas really means to me is the birth of Jesus. When I think of Jesus, I think of happiness but that's not all. I think of love, giving and peace. I do not think of Santa all the time, I think of giving to one another. Tina Hoonaard Grade 4 CDCS Mary and Joseph had gone to Bethlehem, Only to find no room in the inn, Then a kindly gentleman led them to a place, Where Mary and Joseph could be warm and safe. Now see the real meaning of Christmas Day, When Jesus Christ lovingly came to stay, In many people's hearts forever anon, What a wonderful person is God's only son! Patricia Hynja Huron Centennial School The real meaning of Christmas is that Jesus died for us ,to save our sins. We celebrate Christmas at our home and give presents to our cousins. We, have fun decorating our Christmas tree. At night on the 24th of December we are going to open our presents. But we still know what the real meaning of Christmas is. Daniel MacDonald Grade 4 CDCS Mary and Joseph were going to Bethlehem to be, counted. Joseph asked every Innkeeper if he could sleep there, but they were all filled so they had to go into a stable where eattle slept. That night there were shepherds in the fields keeping flocks by night. An angel ap- peared to them and the Glory of the Lord shone around them and they were filled with fear. The angel said to them, "Go to Bethlehem and see the king of kings." • Then all the angels sang, "Glory to God in the highest" and they left. They went to Bethlehem and found them, and everyone rejoiced to God for Jesus had come. Sylvia Post, Grade 4, CDCS Christmas means alot to me and everyone else, I hope. It means Love, Joy, peace, patience, kind- ness, giving, thanking, and helping. Christmas isn't just toys. It's the receiving Christ our Lord Jesus, Who came to earth in Bethlehem. It always makes me happy when the Bible says: The angel came to Mary and said "You are going to have a son." Wouldn't you be frightened if an angel apeared to you in shining white and said, "You are going to have a son?" I would but if the angel said, "Do not be afraid," I wouldn't because I know God can do anything he wants. I hope everyone will have a Blessed Christmas, Jenny Henshaw, Grade 4, CDCS They finally made it. They were very glad. They wandered around Bethlehem to find an inn to sleep in. But there was no room in the inn. Then a kind man noticed that Mary was to' have a baby. He let them have his stable. They were very thankful. That night Mary had Jesus, her baby, there in that stable with animals all around. Back in the fields shepherds were wat- ching their flocks by night and lo the angel of the Lord came down and glory shone around. The shepherds were afraid, but the angel said, "Don't be afraid for I bring you good tidings that shall be to all men. For un- to you is born in the City of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord. He will be wrapped in swadling clothes and lying in a manger." The shepherds went with haste to worship the new born King and found him just as the angel said. They fell down to worship Him. Two years later, wisemen came to see Jesus in his house. They too fell down to wor- ship Him. Then gave Him frank incense, myrrh and gold as presents and were on their way making surehey didn't go the way they came. The Bible tells us that the Messiah came and will come again. That's what the real meaning of Christmas is. Esther Sinasac, Grade 4, CDCS A long time ago in Bethlehem there lived a man and woman called Mary and Joseph. They were going to be married. They were very happy. After they were married Caesar Augustus d sent out a decree that everybody had to go back to their own town to be counted. It happened that Mary and Joseph came from Bethlehem: They started their long journey to Bethlehem. It was a very tiresome journey. Christmas Means Jesus' Birthday. We celebrate Christmas so we can remember Jesus' coming to earth. We praise Him by sharing love and gifts with each other. We give people presents and cards to show our love. Some people think that presents are Christmas. I hope people celebrate Christmas for the coming of JESUS CHRIST. Paul Vanden dool Grade 4 CDCS Greetings and Best Wishes to the Constituents of Huron -Bruce for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy Mew Year 0 Honorable Murray Elston, MPP and family Christmas means to me the birth of baby Jesus. God sent his son as a gift on Christmas. Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, and this is a gift. We give gifts to our friends and family in the same way as God our Father gave us a gift which was Jesus, God's Son. Joseph Postma Grade 4 CDCS Christmas means to me sharing, loving one another, singing Christmas carols, giv- ing presents, being with my family, having Mr fun opening presents, having the Lord Jesus help me in everything I do. Jeanette Feddes Grade 4 CDCS Christmas means peace, joy, love and happiness. With the coming of baby Jesus being born in a manger. Christmas does not mean Santa Claus or getting presents. It does mean to give to one another. Lots of families speid time with each other by loving and caring for each other. I don't need lots of presents and all that other stuff because I know that Jesus Loves. Me.
