The real meaning of Christmas Real
Christmas! What a range of thought.
Comes rushing to the mind.
Christmas! How it always ought.
To make our hearts more kind.
Christmas! Day of Jesus' birth
Start of a life sublime
Christmas! Blessing to the earth.
Good will to all mankind.
Christmas! Time of giving gifts
Of happy times at home
Christmas! Many a heart it lifts
Even of those alone.
Christmas! Time of memories
Of loved ones far away
Christmas! Full of hopes and joys.
Thank God for Christmas day.

A Special Day
When I woke up this morning,
I found to my surprise,
Leslie was dressed,
with sparkling eyes!
Leslie? Happy?
It was hard to believe,
And Dad, not at work,
Do my eyes decieve?!
There's Mommy baking,
Humming away,
This morning is weird,
This is a strange day !
"I'm losing my marbles!
I'm crackers!" I say!
Let me think for a moment,
— Why — it's Christmas Day!

Christmas Fun!
Christmas is the time for fun,
Its the time of year, when theres no sun.
Its the time of year that snow falls,
Its the time of year that fills the malls
Breathing in that cold crisp air,
That's what makes everyone care.
The presents cost a large fee,
To get them under a Christmas tree.
As I see Jack Frost go by,
I think of winter and let out a sigh.
I sure wish winter could stay,
Bat I sure know it won't be here in May.
Christmas is time for a family to gather
round,.
Thats when the love and caring is found.
As I look at the beautiful moon,
I hope spring doesn't come soon.

Gifts for Christmas
Sitting around the Christmas tree
Eating chocolate and sipping tea.
These wonderful gifts are for you and for
me,
that we will tear open with plenty of glee.
Yes Christmas is that time of year
When lots of people feel joy and cheer.
Hot chocolate or eggnog which ever you
like but really you see there really alike.
snow shoe, ski or sled along you'll have so
much fun like banging a gong.
Christmas shopping pushing and nudging.
It's such a rush with all the shoving. "Merry
Christmas" the carolers sing and New Year
this Christmas will bring.

Winter
Winter is the time of year,
When snow flies with no fear.
Families sit by the fire,
Such a beautiful site to admire.
Animals such as the bear,
Sleep and snore and don't dare,
Enter the cold winters night
til all the snow is out of sight.
Birds fly south when it's cold,
To find the warm sand of gold.
Winter is a beautiful scene,
That makes every child keen,
To play in the snow,
And watch it blow.

Star
This star drew nigh
to the Northwest,
O'er Bethlehem
it took it%rest,
And there it did both
stop and stay
Right o'er the place
where Jesus lay.
To the bush
Yesterday I went down to the bush with
Mr. Walker and Mr. Siertsema and other
students. I was tired because it was a long
way for me anyway.
I saw them pull down the tree. Erin M.
