What a range of thought. Comes rushing to the mind. Christmas! How it always ought. To make our hearts more kind. Christmas! Day of Jesus' birth Start of a life sublime Christmas! Blessing to the earth. Good will to all mankind. Christmas! Time of giving gifts Of happy times at home Christmas! Many a heart it lifts Even of those alone. Christmas! Time of memories Of loved ones far away Christmas! Full of hopes and joys. Thank God for Christmas day. Honor McKinley Huron Centennial School A Special Day When I woke up this morning, I found to my surprise, Leslie was dressed, with sparkling eyes! Leslie? Happy? It was hard to believe, And Dad, not at work, Do my eyes decieve?! There's Mommy baking, Humming away, This morning is weird, This is a strange day ! "I'm losing my marbles! I'm crackers!" I say! Let me think for a moment, — Why — it's Christmas Day! Hayley Linfield Huron Centennial School ENNS Christmas Fun! Christmas is the time for fun, Its the time of year, when theres no sun. Its the time of year that snow falls, Its the time of year that fills the malls Breathing in that cold crisp air, That's what makes everyone care. The presents cost a large fee, To get them under a Christmas tree. As I see Jack Frost go by, I think of winter and let out a sigh. I sure wish winter could stay, Bat I sure know it won't be here in May. Christmas is time for a family to gather round,. Thats when the love and caring is found. As I look at the beautiful moon, I hope spring doesn't come soon. Scott Rathwell Huron Centennial School Gifts for Christmas Sitting around the Christmas tree Eating chocolate and sipping tea. These wonderful gifts are for you and for me, that we will tear open with plenty of glee. Yes Christmas is that time of year When lots of people feel joy and cheer. Hot chocolate or eggnog which ever you like but really you see there really alike. snow shoe, ski or sled along you'll have so much fun like banging a gong. Christmas shopping pushing and nudging. It's such a rush with all the shoving. "Merry Christmas" the carolers sing and New Year this Christmas will bring. Animals such as the bear, Sleep and snore and don't dare, Enter the cold winters night til all the snow is out of sight. Birds fly south when it's cold, To find the warm sand of gold. Winter is a beautiful scene, That makes every child keen, To play in the snow, And watch it blow. To the bush Yesterday I went down to the bush with Mr. Walker and Mr. Siertsema and other students. I was tired because it was a long way for me anyway. I saw them pull down the tree. Erin M.
