Santa's 24 -Hour Repair Service
T'was the Night Before Christmas and all through the town,
The streets were all empty, no one was around.
The pumps were all quiet; the tank was full too.
It seemed all would be calm, with little to do.
When all of a sudden, the phone it did ring.
My beeper was beeping; bad news it would bring!
It seemed that a driver, with a car that did swerve, had leveled a hydrant on the Chillingsworth curve.
I rushed to the scene, from the warmth of my bed.
The drunk was all right, but the hydrant was dead.
With shovel in hand and a job I must claim,
I knew hours would pass before my Christmas came.
When out of the sky, I saw such a sight, of a giant red sleigh and a glowing red light.
It landed in front of the place I did stand;
There were reindeer and elves and a jolly old man.
With shovels and wrenches, a hand they did lend, and the work was all done with the speed of the wind.
Before I could thank them, they rushed to the sleigh, loaded their tools and just flew away.
But as they were leaving, Santa said with good will,
"Don't thank me yet; I'll send you the billf"

A winters
poem
Christmas is the time of year
To be merry and full of cheer
And wait 'till Jack Frost
Comes back from the lost
New Years day is when you say
'How are you this fine fine day
Now is the time
To go on the snow
Go and get the skidoo
So I can show you what to do
Let us go and take a ride
On that nice and icy slide
But I wouldn't drive in a car
With all that sleet on the tar
The crusty snow stayed 'till May
But then it slowly melted away

Peater is a glorious thing,
rl white snow on everything.
The sun is shining, the sky clear,
Christmastime is closing near.
The snow is falling from the sky,
The kids are soaking wet, Oh my!
All the rosy cheeks so bright,
And the zippers frozen tight.
Everyone files into the house,
They're so loud, not like a mouse.
Hair all tangled, hands all wet,
They'll be dry but not yet.
Slush and snow is all outside,
Inside the score is tied.
Oh he wants to win the game,
It will bring him instant fame.
