SHAW
Elsie Jane, passed away in Brussels, Ontario,
Tuesday. December 17, 1986; Elsie Jane
Johnston, beloved wife of the late Frank Shaw
(1960), in her 89th year. Mother of Charlie and
Pat Shaw of Blyth, Bill and Francis Bremner and
Doc and Nora Stephenson, all of Brussels.
Grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 22 great-
grandchildren. Sister of Adeline (Mrs. Gordon
Simmons) of Wingham. Predeceased by 4
brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation was at the M.I.
Watts Funeral Homes, Brussels Chapel, on
Wednesday afternoon and evening. Funeral ser-
vice was held on Thursday, December 18, at 2 pm
at the funeral home chapel- Interment Brussels
Cemetery.
HAMILTON
Gilbert. At Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home,
Lucknow, on Tuesday, December 16, 1986,
Gilbert Hamilton of Lucknow in his 83rd year.
Beloved husband of Jane (Buckton). Dear father
of Betty Hamilton of St. Catharines, Joan (Mrs.
Jack Barr) of Kinlough, Bruce of Lucknow, Donald
of Timmons, and Ross of Brandon, Manitoba,
also loved by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grand-
children, Survived also by one brother John of
Clinton, and one sister Jewel of Toronto. Funeral
services were conducted from the MacKenzie &
McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Friday,
December 19 at 2 pm. Rev. A. Ramsay officiated.

Mrs. Thelma Dorothy, of 611-330 Talbot Street,
St. Thomas, On Wednesday, December 17, 1986,
at Victoria Hospital, London, after o short illness,
in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Jack Brumpton.
Dear sister of Mrs. Marguerite Clark of Talbot
ville, Mrs. Bruce (Jean) Bartliff of Clinton,
William Knight of St. Thomas, Jack Knight of St.
Thomas, and the late Verne and Harold Knight
and the late Mrs. Gertrude Abel. Also survived
411ky several nieces and nephews. Rested at
illiams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St.
Thomas, where funeral service was held Friday
at 1:30. Interment South Park Cemetery, Visita-
tion started Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. ,

At Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich on Friday,
December 19, 1986, Ira Geiger of Hensall; in his
88th year. Dear uncle of June and Karl Haslip of
Burlington, Ross and Helen Kennedy of Hamilton
and other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
his parents Owen and Emma Geiger; brothers
Oliver, Rora, Edmund, Sidney and Dr. William
Geiger, and one sister Mrs. Vercy Kennedy
(1985). Rested at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons
Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Satur-
day evening commencing at 7:30 pm and Sunday,
December 21, 1986 from 12 noon until the time of
funeral service at 2 pm. Interment Emmanuel
United Church Cemetery, Zurich. Mr. Richard
Wilding of London officiated. Mr. Geiger was a
retired farmer and operated the Hensall Flax Mill
for many years.

At Clinton Public Hospital, on Tuesday,
December 16, 1986, Douwe Bruinsma of Clinton
in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late
Mary Bruinsma; dear father of Hinke and Jim
Bakelaar of Belgrave, Ted and Jane Bruinsma of
Brampton, Greta and Henry Amsinga of
Thamesford, Cecil and Diane Bruinsma of RR 4,
Goderich, Fred and Marilyn Bruinsma of RR 5,
Goderich, Charles and Lynda Bruinsma of RR 2,
Goderich, Sid and Mina Bruinsma of RR 2,
Goderich, Irene and Peter Ott, RR 2, Goderich.
Also surviving are 33 grandchildren and 8 great-
grandchildren. Friends were "received .at the
Beattie Funeral Home, 55 Rattenbury Street East,
Clinton, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral service was held on Friday, December
19th commencing at 2 pm from the Clinton Chris -
tion Reformed Church with Rev. Homer
Samplonius officiating. Interment Clinton
Cemetery.

vived by two grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alma
Mathewes of Detroit, and three brothers, An-
thony of Detroit, Hubert of London and Sandford
of•Windsor, Predeceased by two brothers John
and James and one sister Saphrona and one son
Kenneth. The family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street
West, Seaforth after 2 pm, Monday, until 11 am
Tuesday when Mass with a Christian Burial was
held at St, James' Roman Catholic Church,
Seaforth. Interment Mount Carmol Cemetery.

William Robert of Teeswater, passed away at the
Wingham District Hospital on Saturday,
December 20, 1986, in his 67th year. Husband of
the former Largaret Brindley and father of Linda
and Karen of Teeswater, Nancy (Mrs.Brian King)
of Culross Twp., Ronald Dore of Cuirass Twp, and
Dianne Dore of Calgary. Son of Mrs. Murray Mor-
rison of Copeland Lodge, Wingham. Brother of
Daniel of Blyth and Mary (Mrs.Jack Thornton) of
Gorey. Grandfather of six grandchildren and
predeceased by his father Robert McInnes (1961).
Friends called at the MacPherson Funeral Home,
Teeswater on Monday from 2-4:30 and 7.9:30 pm.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday,
December 23, at 2 pm at Knox Prebyterian
Church, Teeswater.

Street Clinton on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral service was held at the funeral home on
Saturday, December 20 at 2 o'clock. Interment
Maitland Cemetery Goderich.
