November 20, 1986, Gordon Pascoe of Huron -
view Home, Clinton and formerly of Crediton; in
his 77th year. Mr. Pascoe was born in England
and come to Canada as a home -boy and lived
with the late Jack Wein family. Dear friend of
Mrs. Robert (Mina Wilds) Doak of Goderich and
will be sadly missed but remembered by the
Wilds, Hoist and Wein families, all of Crediton.
Rested at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral
Home, Dashwood with visitation Friday evening
from 7-9 pm. Funeral and committal services
were held on Saturday, November 22, 1986 at 11
am at the funeral home. Interment Crediton
Cemetery. Rev. B. Elder officiated.
Four clubs compete in Clinton
Badminton Club tournament
CLINTON - The Clinton Badminton Club
held their first doubles tournament on
November 13 with four teams in the
competition.
The teams involved were from Kincar-
dine, Port Elgin, Walkerton and Clinton.
The home club played some excellent bad-
minton and captured 10 of the possible 12
trophies.
Clinton was at the top for ladies' doubles
as Tracy MacDonald and Lori Colquhoun
were the winners and Terry Flowers and
Shelagh Sully were runners-up.
For the men's doubles Dave Evans of Kin-
cardine and Chuck Anderson of Port Elgin
were the winners while Bob Riehl and Chris
Grande of Clinton came up in the runners-up
position.
Two Clinton teams were also victorious in
mixed doubles play when Julie Holmes and
Bob Riehl came out on top and Tracy Mac-
Donald and Steve Sadler placed as runners-
up.
Vanastra curlers compete in
Pepsi Junior Men's games
Two teams from the Vanastra Curling
Club competed recently in Harriston in the
Pepsi Junior Men's Competition.
The rink skipped by Scott Townsend with
William Fotheringham, Murray Townsend
and Scott Cooper won the "B" side and will
now advance to Kitchener on November 29.

record their fifth shutout of the season.
Danny Wildfong who scored the first five
goals collected six on the game to lead the
Clinton goal parade.
Linemates Mark Livermore and Chris
Kennedy also had another big night as
Livermore had 2 goals and 5 assists while
Kennedy collected one goal and five assists.
Also scoring for Clinton was Nathan
Burns with two goals and Craig McAsh with
a single marker. Craig McAsh also picked
up two assists while single assists went to
Shane MacDonald and Lee Gibbings.
At the Harriston Atom Tournament this
past weekend the Clinton Atoms ran into a
good, solid team from Ridgetown and went
down to their first defeat of the season after
14 straight wins by a 4-2 score.
In the first period, Clinton grabbed a 1-0
lead at the 7:32 mark as Chris Kennedy
scored from in front of the visitors net after
taking passes from Mark Livermore and
Danny Wildfong.
In the second period in the space of one
minute, Ridgetown had erased Clinton's 1-0
lead to score three quick goals and take a
comfortable 3-1 lead.
Before the second stanza had ended Dan-
ny Wildfong dented the twine on' his own i'e-

Wright picked up assists on the goal. But
Ridgetown got that one back with 1:19 left to
secure the championship victory. -
Earlier on in the tournament Clinton had
victories over Georgetown and Durham.
On Saturday in the Georgetown contest
Clinton couldn't do anything wrong as they
blasted Georgetown 9-0. Mark Livermore
paced Clinton with four goals and two
assists. Linemate Danny Wildfong had two
goals and two assists while Christ Kennedy -
collected five assists.
Also adding single markers for the locals •
were Nathan Burns and Shane MacDonald.

shared their sixth shutout of the,season.
On Sunday in the second game of the tour-
nament
Clinton defeated Durham 5-3 on a
shoot out. The score had ended 2-2 in regula-
tion time when Durham scored with only 40
seconds left on a powerplay.
Mark Livermore and Nathan Burns had
scored for Clinton in regulation time.
Both teams then selected three shooters
for the shootout. Coach, Bob Livermore,
chose Danny Wildfong, Nathan Burns and
Mark Livermore. They turned out to be ex-
cellent choices as all three scored on their
turn, while Durham could only reply on Jeff
Rahn's marker.
