LONDESBORO - Along with their prin-
cipal Ron Jewitt, the teachers and students
from Hullett Central School paraded to the
United Church for the Remembrance Day

The opening music was played by Bar-

BLYTH - Last weekend 16 hockey teams,
12 industrial and four oldtimers participated
in a tournament that extended from Thurs-
day night to Sunday for the final game.
The four oldtiiners teams consisted of
teams from Clinton, Blyth, Wingham and
Ripley. The scores are as follows: Blyth 1
defeated Hodges of Goderich by a score of
4-1; the Lucknow Chiefs defeated Blyth by a
7-2 margin.
Friday evening opened with a close game
of the series by Holmesville, loosing 9-3,
while Fordwich lost in the B division to Don-
nybrook by a score of 6-3.
The final game for the day for the A cham-
pionship, was the DI Door Knobs loose to the
Lucknow Treleavens 7-4.
The final game for the day for the B divi-
sion saw Ernie's Roadhouse whipping
Palmerston by a huge 17-1 margin.
Sunday morning saw Hodges of Goderich
playing Donnybrook for the B division.
Hodges came out ahead by a score of 7-0.
Two Lucknow teams, the Lucknow Chiefs
between Port Albert and Fordwich, with and the Lucknow Treleaven fight to go on

Saturday morning began with a c
game that ended in a shoot out between
Blyth 1 and Lucknow Chiefs, in the A divi-
sion. The Chiefs put Blyth out by a 6-5
margin and Hodges defeated Blyth 2, put-
ting them out of the B division by a score of
7-3.
For the A division Port Albert was put out
c amps .
The most valuable players were: Don
Dorscht, for Lucknow and John Elliott for
Holmesville in the A division, while.Graham
Hamilton and Harold Peet were the reci-
pients of the most valuable player awards
for the B division.

Youngsters win and lose
Novice B
On Wednesday, Blyth Novice B boys
hosted an exhibition game against Belgrave
at the arena. Blyth defeated Belgrave by a
score of 6-2. Scoring for Blyth were: Chris
Stewart, with only one minute left in the
first period, unassisted.
Brad Walsh scored the next goal, in the se-
cond period, assisted by Wes Wilson. Darryl
Shannan scored the next goal for Blyth
unassisted. Then, 10 seconds later, Tim
Cowan scored the fourth goal for Blyth.
Belgrave then came to a quick mark on
the score board as Brent Robinson scored
after eight seconds in the third period.
Brad Walsh then scored for the second
time in the day, assisted by Tim Cowan.
Belgrave came back full force again, with

Brent scoring again at the 6 minute mark.
Chris Stewart then scored for the second
time, with Ben Craig assisting to give Blyth
a 6-2 victory. Jacor- McDougall was goalie
and assisted in the victory.
On Saturday afternoon, they travelled to
Zurich, where they were not as "on their
toes, or in this case, on their skates" as they
were defeated 5-0.

The Tykes travelled to Zurich on Saturday
also and they too came home defeated by a
7-4 game. Scoring for Blyth were: Jeff
Ferguson, from Darryl Bromley; Darryl
Bromley, assisted by Jeff Ferguson; Corey
Shannan, assisted by Greg Block and Shane
Burkholder; and Darryl Bromley from Jeff
Ferguson.
