At an executiife meeting of the Western Ontario North Liberal Association in Mildmay on November 7, the association voiced its support for Turner. "This association supports and endorses John Turner as leadei'l" states a motion by the association executive. "We would urge all delegates in Western Ontario North to fully support the leader at the upcoming national convention in Ottawa, November 27 to 30." The executive includes: president, Bruce McDonald, Mildmay; past presi- dent, Duncan McCallum, Hanover; vice- president, Bill Elston, Brussels; secretary, Glen Crockford; Hanover; treasurer, Wm. Somerville, Stratford; directors, James Powers, Chepstow, Heather Redick, Zurich, and Muriel Mur- phy, Goderich. During the meeting plans were made for some of the events in the spring. Tickets will be sold on a split rail patch- work quilt in autumn tones. It was donated by Noble Grand Jean Wyatt, with a second prize of $50 donated by Vice Grand, Joyce Chilton. All proceeds will go to Clinton Public Hospital. The draw will be made June 1, at which time a Friendship night will take place. Plans were also made for their dessert euchre which will be held April 29. Final ar- rangements were made to go to Goderich on November 18, where Goderich Rebekah Lodge No. 89 hosted the assembly president, Sister Kathryn Bridges, at which time the Hui'6hic"Sisters presented a tableau (The ..Golden Rble): ,.,.,..., .
