Members were asked to en- courage others to join in the picketing. Considerable discussion revolved around Health Minister Murray Elston's naming Dr. Marion Powell to look at how the pro- vince can provide better access to abor- tions. Dr. Powell, director of the Bay Centre for Birth Control in Toronto (a centre which does abortion referrals) has been actively involved in organizing the movement for abortion on demand from as far back as 1972. It would appear that she brings to this investigation a firm bias for abortion on de- mand.
