High stepping, fancy fiddling entertainment
No celebration is complete without music
and dancing, so Gladys VanEgmond of RR1
Clinton has planned an impressive line-up of
talent both from the area and surrounding
towns.
The excitement kicks off on September 5
with the Huron Strings playing some old
tyme music at the stage located west of the
arena at 1 p.m..
Master of ceremonies Ross Calder, of
Cambridge, will keep the show going, in-
troducing three stepdancers from
Londesborn next. These entertainers call
themselves Sweet Dreams and will dazzle

the crowd with their fancy foot work for ap-
prinimately 15 minutes.
After they have concluded their perfor-
mahce, five-year-old Bryan Johnson, of
Stratford, will pick up his fiddle to entertain
the crowd.
From 2 to 2:30 p.m., the Hurou Strings will
be back do stage, followed by a few more
numbers by Sweet Dreams. Bryan Johnson
will then wrap up the day's entertainment.
Those who enjoy a good old fashioned
jamboree should head for the arena
auditorium at 7:30 p.m. for plenty of fun.
The master of ceremonies for this event will
be John Brent.
Entertainment the following day,
September 6, will begin at noon with Dave
Chittick of Hanover and Glen Eden of Owen
Sound performing country and western
music as well as some old tyme tunes.
Also during the afternoon, Heritage Fid-
dlers will be performing on the stage by the
ball diamonds.
The event that is sure to draw a big crowd
takes place at 1:30 p.m. on September 6.

Y nresher's Reunion
1 want to extend my congratulations to the Huron
Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association during the
celebration of the 25th Annual Reunion in the
Village of Blyth.
This happy occasion will be a time to reflect on
our agricultural heritage while also planning and
preparing for future years of success.
