This year marks the 25th Annual Huron Pioneer
Thresher and Hobby Association Reunion. Each year,
thousands of people bring their hobbies to the Blyth
fair grounds and the community centre as theymeet
and mix with other people who have the same
interests.
Last year was the third time Doug McIntosh (right)
and Phil McGuire took part in the. Reunion. The steam
engine they displayed was build by Mr. McIntosh in
1982. (Anne Narejko photo)

the parade will go up behind the hotel, past
the new Knetchel store, turn at Sneli's cor-
ner, and go up through main street for three
blocks before turning into the fair grounds.
This year's parade route differs in that
last year's went only to the hotel corner,
therefore this one goes one block further.

Everyone loves a parade, and this year's
Threshermen's Reunion will have a variety
of parades to delight the crowds.
The first type of parade with be that of the
mobile exhibits which will run every day of
the reunion at 4 p.m.
"Everything on the grounds with wheels
goes around the track. It lets people see
everything without walking around," the
Reunion's President,. Bill Vincent said.
"They can sit in one place and see all the
exhibits."
He said the steam engines and traction
engines are the lead exhibit, followed by the
antique gas tractors and the antique cars br-
ing up the rear. Models of steam engines
and threshing machines are also towed
around the track for the parade.
For each parade a different band will lead
the exhibits around. Although Mr. Vincent
was not sure who would lead the September
5 parade, he said the Clinton Legion Pipe
Band will lead on September 6, while the
Cameron -Mount Forest Highlanders will
lead on September 7.
They are expecting as many as 20 antique
cars, 12 to 15 steam engines aril up to 25 an-
tique gas tractors to parade around the
perimeter of the fair grounds.
The second variety of parade will begin at
12 noon on September 6 at Hubbard's Turnip
Plant.
"We've got everything, horses, antique
cars, bands, steam engines and :industrial
floats," Tom Cronin, one of the parade
organizers said.
After leaving Hubbard's, Mr. Cronin said
featured
Mr. Cronin hopes the parade will also dif-
fer in another way. "We hope to have a big-
ger parade than last year. We had close to 50
entries last year."
Larger or not, parade lovers will havia
