A new component this year was the in- troduction of computers for the registration of patients, and it was interesting to learn that Bayfield had been chosen as the place to initiate this very efficient equipment. Unlike the last occasion, attendance was poor but nevertheless there were some 48 donors. This may have been due to other clinics having been held in the near vicinity in recent weeks. The need for donations of blood is vital and they continually require replenishment. However, the Bayfield Lioness would like to thank all those who came along to support the clinic and so helped to maintain this resource. Bayfield Garden Club Instead of the usual monthly meeting, some 20 members of the Bayfield Garden Club met at the home of Harold and Lilian Beakhust on August 11. After a picnic lunch the group studied the types of entries re- quired for the agricultural fair, and under the leadership of Leda McAlister, set about working on suitable exhibits. It is hoped that this preliminary run will ensure a good number of entries on August 22. There are still some 'never miss' members who have not yet renewed their subscriptions for 1986, and new members are always welcomed. There is still time to join in order to qualify for premium bulbs as long as membership is picked up before August 31. If you have overlooked this item just call 565-2956 or 565-2667. $1000 Weekend in Bayfield Only days now to the draw for the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Com- mittee annual draw for a $1,000 weekend in Bayfield. They will be exhibiting at the fall fair so watch for their stand. Details of plans for the September meeting will be announc- ed soon. Trinity ACW Once again this year the ladies of Trinity will be manning a special stall at the Agricultural Fair the proceeds of which will be contributed to work in the Mission fields.
