She was 65 years old. Mrs. Prudum was born on November 6 to the late Harry and Dora (Brownwigg) Packer in East Zorra Township. A member of the Jehovah's Witness Clin- ton Kingdom Hall, Mrs. Prudum is survived by her husband, .` d Prudum and children, Mrs. George (' a ey) Deley of Simcoe; Donald of Texas, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Bohnke of Winnipeg; Mrs. Lawrence (Florence) Young of Forest; Margaret and Karen, both of Clinton and Paul of London. She is also survived by one brother, Albert Packer of Woodstock. There was no funeral home visitation but a funeral service was held on August 11 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Clinton with Mr. Walter Gardiner of- ficiating. Cremation was held at Woodland Crematorium, London. Ball and Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton, were the funeral directors. Richard Welch The life of 30 -year-old Rick Welch was taken suddenly on July 27, the result of a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Welch, of Bayfield and formerly of Clinton and Little Britain, died at University Hospital in London. He worked as'a businessman as partner in the Bayfield Marine Services for one and a half years. He was a member of the Clinton Optimist Club, played goalie for the Clinton Mustangs Junior C Hockey Club and was first baseman for the Clinton Colts Hardball team. Born on January 16, 1956 in Lindsay, he was the son of Allan Welch and Glenna Foster of Clinton. Along with his parents, Mr. Welch is survived by the former Patricia Kay to whom he was married and divorced from. Surviving brothers and sisters include Mrs. Deborah (John) Philip of Newmarket; Cheryl Welch of Edmonton; Wendy Welch of Stratford; Mrs. Jacquiline (David) Butler of London; Tammy and Christine, both at home; and Barry Welch of Windsor. He is also survived by his grandmother, Rose Welch of Clinton, several nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Violet Foster and his paternal grandfather, Jack Welch. Funeral services were held at the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home in Clinirbn on July 30. Rev. David Snihur of Londesboro United Church officiated. Flower bearers were Gary (Butch) Fleet, Calvin Fremlin, Richard Fremlin, Michael Gibbings, Tony Gibbings and Darryl Postill. Pallbearers were Chris Middleton, Fred Middleton, Randy Midddleton, Ken Van- Wonderen, Robert McMahon and Paul Priestap. Interment was held at the Clinton Cemetery. John Lindsay John Douglas Lindsay of Chiniquy Street, Bayfield, died at University Hospital, Lon- don on August 5. He was 72 years old. Following their marriage, Mr. Lindsay worked for the Department of Highways for many years. In 1 3 he took the position of road superintendent for the Village of Bayfield, a position he held for 17 years until retiring in 1980. Mr. Lindsay, a member of St. Andrews United Church, Bayfield, was also a member of the Huron County Road Superintendents Association, a member of • the Bayfield Lions Club and a member of the Bayfield Ever Young Club. Mr. Lindsay is survived by three children: George and his wife Clarkia of Ot- tawa, Ellen and her husband James Butcher of Clinton and Donald and his wife Barbara of Bayfield. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Nathan, Sheila and Nikki Lindsay and Matthew and Mark Butcher. He is survived by five sisters: Mrs. Charles (Jean) Bell, Mrs. William (Nora) Orr, Mrs. Robert (Jesse) Blair, Mrs. James (Pearl) Hutchings and Mrs. George (Phyllis) Heard, all of Bayfield; and two brothers, Brown Lindsay of Goderich Township and George Lindsay of Paris. A funeral service was held on August 8 at Ball and Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rev. John Hoekstra and Rev. Douglas Pitts, both of Bayfield, officiating. Soloist was Mr. Lindsay's brother-in-law, Ted Dunn who sang In The Garden. Flower bearers were Robert Butcher, Robert Dunn, Vincent Dunn, Wayne Dunn and Larry Heard. Honorary pallbearers were Arnold Makins, Ken Farmer, Ruggles Jenkins, William Taylor and Grant Turner. Active pallbearers were Donald Bell, George Bell, Joe Brandon, Ken Brandon, Jack Dunn and Richard Penhale. Interment was in Bayfield Cemetery. Ronald George McPhee Ronald George McPhee, 34, of Goderich; died Aug. 4, 1986 at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. Son of Orval McPhee, of Auburn and the late former Lily Helena Kerns, he was born Oct. 3, 1951 in Warwick. An auto -body repairman, he was self-employed at Ron's Shell for two and a half years. He was also a member of the United Church and the Kinsmen. He is survived by his wife, the former Deborah Lynn Hoy, of Goderich whom he married Sept. 24, 1977 at the North Street United Church, Goderich. Also surviving are three sons Robbie, Ryan and Justin, all at hone, his parents Orval and Velma McPhee, of Auburn, parents-in-law Robert and Dolores Hoy, of Goderich, grandmother Lily Kerns, of Goderich, sister Doris and her husband Bruce Buttar, of Cobourg, two step -brothers Douglas and his wife Faye Gibson, of Wingham and Barry and his wife Verna Gib- son, of Ridgetown and sister -m -law Kelly H of Goderi, h. :; Ie.Was pred ceased byJu mother Lily to 1974 and one brother John in infancy. Funeral services were held at McCallum and Palla Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 6 with Rev. Gordon Pickell officiating and Rev. Gary Shuttleworth assisting. In- terment Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers included Don Scott, Bruce Butter, John Miller, Teade Bakker, Walter Marchl and Kirk Goddard. Honorary pallbearer was Kevin Gibson.
