No fair is complete without candy floss, popcorn, hotdogs and plenty of rides. The Clinton
Spring Fair offered all of the above plus plenty of more entertaimnent. Always a favorite
ride at any fair for people of all agesis the ferris wheel.

Cook of Clinton was selected the 1986 Clinton Spring Fair Queen.
John Wise braved the elements to lead the
Clinton Legion Pipes and Drums Band dur-
ing the parade.
Shawn Semple was one of several Central
Huron Secondary School students mar-
ching and playing in the parade. The
weatherman allowed it to rain just enough
to dampen the participants.
Spring fairs offer an opportunity for people
to enter their livestock and poultry in the
appropriate classes. Judging the poultry
on June 7 was James Tilt. Here, he looks

• This youngster may not have a driver's liceneet but he showed everyone he knew what to
do in the tractor pull competition. The children's mini -tractor pedal -pull was held on
• &Me 7 in the arena. One of the competitors was eight-year-old David Ward,
Judges did.ntit have an easy job selecting the top babies in each category during the baby
show on June /, but nevertheless, they did come up with winners. Josh and Jamie Sandy
(left), MIS of Rena and Gary of Sarnia, won In the twins category; Michael Sullens, son of
Sheila and Barry of Hoderich, won in the nine Wig months category. Michael was also nam-
ed the top Why in the entire contest; Amanda Vodden, daughter of Roy and Myrna of Chin -
ton was the runner-up to the top baby; COMO ',Mist, daughter of Shelley and Gary Haist,
won in the four Months and under eategoryl and Danny Peek, son of Dianne and Dale of
Varna, won In the five to eight month category'.
