Hard work and dedication honored •
CLINTON - June 1 was the celebration of
"60 Years and More" of service that the
Auxiliary has given to the Clinton Public
Hospital.
About 100 people gathered in the
auditorium of the Town Hall to witness the
Teen Volunteer Awards ceremony, and the
honouring of the Past Presidents and Life
members of the Auxiliary. Kay Wise played
background music.
Rev. Paul Murray .of Bayfield, gave the
Invocation, . followed by Rosemary Arm-
strong extending best wishes on behalf of
the Town of Clinton.,
Will}pm Heart, Ctiaii?man, pt. the, Clinton
.public Eti'spital Behi'ci" of dovernorS, spoke
well of the volunteers during his address to
the gathering. He mentioned how much the
Board appreciated the work of both the
teenage and adult volunteer; sector.
"Volunteers are busy people who can
always find time to help otherS," he said.
Bernice Jewson, Co-ordinatr of the Teen
Volunteers, assisted by Maryl Garon, con-
ducted the Awards and Presentation
ceremony. Mrs. Cox, Director of Nursing,
pinned the caps on the girls, and handed out
pins, certificates and bars to the deserving
teens.
Suzanne Walker received her 400 hour
bar, truly, an accomplishment. Ushers for
the afternoon were Linda Brand, Dori Daer,
Theresa Josling and Melissa Whalen. The
teens then adjourned to the lot by for picture

of the program by giving a lief history of
the 60 years that the Auxiliary has served
the hospital.
The Past Presidents were then called
upon in turn to present the "highlights" of
their term in office. It was a most in-
teresting presentation as the progressions,
the comic happenings, the problems, the
setbacks, and the successes were revealed
by those who had "made it all happen."
A moment of silence was held to com-
memorate the past presidents now deceas-
ed. Many family members of these •
presidents were in attendance.
Dan Steyn , Administrator of the hospital,
expressed appreciation to all who had, par-
