Clinton wornan dies at age of 47

Myrna Grace (Essex) Hunking of RRlS
Clinton dried in the Clinton Public Hospital
on April 20. She was 47 -years -old.
Mrs. Hunking was the daughter of
Clarence Essex of Niagra Falls and Mrs.
Ellwood (Lola) Atkinson of Goderich. She
was born in Goderich on June 21, 1938.
On January 24, 1968 she married Donald
Hunking.
Mrs, Hunking, who was a piano technician
at Sherlock -Manning Piano's, Clinton, until
she became ill in October of 1985, is survived
by her parents, her husband, three
daughters, Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Cuttell of
London; Mrs. Murray (Kathy) Hunking of
Goderich and Dawn Laureen Hunking at
home. She is also survived by four
grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister Mrs.
Gordon (Elsie) Hulley and two brothers, Joe
and Alvin Essex, all of Goderich.
A private funeral and committal service
was held on April 22 atthe Ball and Falconer
Funeral Home, Clinton with Rev. Stan
McDonald of Hensall United Church
officiating.
Interment in Hope Chapel Cemetery in
Hallett Township.
Former minister will be speaker
CLINTON - Anniversary services will be
held at Wesley -Willis United Church on May
4 at 11 a.m. and 7:3¢ p.m.
Rev. John Oestreicher, who was the
minister at Wesley -Willis and Holmesville
United from November 1973 to December
1980, will be the guest speaker.
The Oestreichers are presently' living in
Walkerton where Rev. Oestreicher is the
minister at Walkerton United.
Special music for the morning service will
include the Wesley -Willis choir under the
direction of Mary Hearn and guest oboist
Sarah Hamilton.
Miss Hamilton has just graduated from the
University of Western Ontario (UWO) with
her Bachelor of Music Honors Degree in Per-
formance. She has been a member of the
U.W.O. and Windsor Symphony Orchestra
and the London Concert Players.
This summer Miss Hamilton will tour with
the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
A potluck dinner will follow the morning
service.
Special music for the evening camrinn will
be provided by the Seaforth Harmony Kings.
The Harmony Kings is an all male choir
under the direction of Barry Mahon. They
have 42 members and have sung at Hamilton
Place, Massey Hall and the Centre In the
uare .in Kitchener.
A coffee hour will follow the evening
service.
Friends of Wesley -Willis and Holmesville
are cordially invited to attend these services.

Several interesting readings were given
by Irene McCall. Mary Dale and Cleta
McGregor.
The Scripture lesson was read by Cleta
McGregor. Prayer followed by Daisy
Holland closing an informative and in-
teresting meeting.
CLINTON - The afternoon meeting' of
Wesley -Willis UCW met in the church parlor
April 17. Kathleen Whitemore in the chair.
The meeting opened with prayer followed
by the minutes of the March meeting read
by Marg Cole and the treasurer's report by
Helen Rathwell. The roll call showed 19
members present.
Discussion of several events took place in-
cluding the successful luncheon put on that
day by the Morning Glories; many had
availed themselves of this before the
meati^^
Important coming events were mentioned
and discussed. Among these were the
Thankoffering at Ontario St. Church on
April 17 put on jointly with Wesley -Willis.
The June 14 garage sale by Morning Glories,
anniversary services on May 4 at Wesley -
Willis with Rev. John Oestreicher as
speaker and special music by the choirs,
May 7 at 8 p.m. and Stone Town Enter-
tainers. Proceeds for kitchen renovations.
Irene McCall took over the meeting after
the reports.

on April 26 at the year-end dance at the

Ontario has already witnessed licence plate
series flips. Trailer plate combinations were
reversed in 1984 and the motorcycle dealer
plate series was flipped earlier this year.
"It's standard practice in most North
American jurisdictions to flip the order on
licence plates when the current series has
been exhausted." concluded Fulton.
