CLINTON - The Huron -Perth -Bruce
Chapter of Epilepsy Ontario will be holding
their annual lottery with five ways to win.
Tickets are $i each. The draw will be made
the night of May 17 at the Clinton
Klompenfeest Dance at the Clinton Arena.
The prizes are: first prize - Stratford
Festival Tickets, $25 at the Olde English
Parlour and an overnight stay at the
Festival Motor Inn; second prize - $100 Via
Rail tickets; third prize - overnight stay at
the Toronto Hotel and Canada's Wonderland
tickets; fourth prize - overnight stay. at the
Constellation Hotel and Sunday brunch;
fifth prize - Toronto Blue Jay Tickets.
Tickets are available in Goderich at Reick.

Klompen Feest
hosts girls corps
This year the'Kitchener-Waterloo based
Ventures Drum and Bugle Corps will enter- -
tain the Klompen Feest crowds with their
music.
The all girl corps, comprised of 75 women
between the ages of 12 and 20, has an im-
pressive list of wins. From 1976 through to
1983, they held the All Girl Canadian Na-
tional title; from 1978 to 1982 they held the
Ontario Provincial Title; from1978 to 1980
and in 1982 they held the U.S. Open title; in
1978 to 1980 they held the American Interna-
tional title and in 1980. they held the Drum
Corps International title. •
In the Class A and. All Girls division, they
won the DCI East and the DCI Canada titles
in 1980 and have held the position of DCI
World Champions from 1980 to 1985.'In 1985
they were also the Canadian National
Champions.
The Venturers have also won several
parade titles for their co-ordination in play-
ing as well as their appearance, donning
their four multi -colored latin style ponchos
worn with a black skirt, white feathered hat
and white slippers.
Music from their 1985 repertoire includes
Spring Lake Overture, Buena ? Vida, My
Foolish Heart and Let's Hear It For Me.
The band can be seen marching in the
Klompen Feest Parade on May 17 as well as
performing at the community park at 4 p.m.

Hunter safety atnstructol!s' workshop to be held
WXNOH- The flight of an arrow or the
path of a bullet - having started either there
is no retraction.
Safety is a particular concern to approx-
imately 50 Hunter Education Instructors
from throughout southwestern Ontario who
met recently to discuss, update and improve
upon their efforts to ensure that hunting re-
mains a safe and enjoyable sport.
The meeting was held et the Mullett Pro-
vincial Wildlife Area and was sponsored by
the Ministry.of Natural Resources in con-
junction with the_ Ontariie Federation of
Anglers and Hunters (WI),
Following, the welcoming comments by
Andy Houser, Wingham District Manager
the instructors were updated regarding the
Ministry of Natural Resources Hunter
Education program and policies by Bill
McKittrick, Provincial Hunter Education
Co-ordinator and Terry Switzer, Chairman
of the Hunter Education Committee of the
OFAJ4. Expert lectures accompanied by
practical demonstrations were provided by
Dave Ward. Aylmer and Vite Chomicki
Lucan, on primitive firearms and archery
respectively.
According to 'Conservation Officer Blake
Evans, who is in charge of the Hunter
Education Program for Wingham District,

and dedication of the instructora was shown
by the excellent attendance and tihe

ments regarding Hunter Education in

A highlight of the workshop was the
presentation of 25 Year Service Awards to
instructors by the Ministry of Natural
Resources for their dedication and contribu-
tions in the field of hunter education.
Bayfield Recreation
Committee draw winners
BAYFIELD - The three final draws for
the Bayfield Recreation Committee's mon-
thly draw was held on April 28 after the
recreation committee meeting.
The winners are: regular monthly $50
draw - T. Shields of Hensall; third prize
($50) - Bayfield Babes baseball, team; se-
cond prize ($100) Lena Keene of Bayfield;
first prize ($200) - Justyna Chojnocka of
Bayfield.
The Bayfield Recreation Committee will
be selling tickets for monthly draws again
this year. Tickets are $12 and are good for
the whole year. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
All money goes towards improvements to
the John Street ball diamond.

CLINTON - The horticultural society
heard of an exciting new plant nutrient and
soil conditioner at their Meeting en April 23.
Mr. Holly of' Springlianit Strawberry
Acres explained how the process of raising
African Night Crawlers for fishing bait pro-
duced this fertilizer:i
