the requirements for small corporations

provides much needed relief from un-

director, provincial affairs Ontario, Cana-

year if it: - is a Canadian -controlled
private corporation; - files a federal in-
come tax return; -- l s.gross revenue and
total assets each less than $1,000.000; - has

"Paralleling the federal small business
tax simplification measures and dropping
the requirements for small corporations
making no profit to file income tax returns
provides much needed relief from un-
necessary' paper burden," Judith Andrew,
director, provincial affairs Ontario, Cana-
dian Federation of Independent Business
(CFIB) said. "CFIB has been fighting for
reduced regulations and red tape which
burden small and young businesses most
heavily. We are glad the Honourable Robert
Nixon recognized this burden on the sector
which is providing the bulk of the net new
job creation in Ontario."
