Varna - The sixth and final meeting of the
Parr Line Manner Minders was held at
Eleanor Coleman's home on March 31.
Robyn Norman opened the meeting and
members repeated the 4-H Pledge.
Members visited the Bluewater Rest
Home, where MIs. Bonnie Keller guided
them around. They learned a lot about the
interesting things the residents do at the
home.
After returning to the leader's home,
members discussed dating - how you should
ask for a date, how you should refuse a date,
—eurfews and other topics. Julie Consitt,
assistant leader, led a question and answer
session about dating. All members enjoyed
learning about "Etiquette f the 80's".

Euchre Play
Te were ten tables in play at the
Orang Lodge Euchre Friday night, April 4.
Hig izes were won by Anna Wilson and
Mars et Hayter (playing as a man). Low
priz s ent to Margaret Nicaymont and
Sce cAsh. Draw prize winners were
Dor Boon, Frank McClinchey, Mary Col -
ern d Myrtle Taylor.

On Monday, March 31 the Hensall United
Church ladies held their last Bingo for the
month of March. Also on Monday afternoon,
the residents had an Easter Party. TheY
had a sing -song and then shared tea and
special cup cakes brought in by the -
Zurich Mennonite Church Ladies. Thanks

Joyce Dowson gave an interesting talk on
her vacation in Venezuela, "The Gateway to
South America", and showed photos of the

Members who have good used clothing
they no longer need are asked to set it aside
for Mission Services. A bale will be packed

Five dozen cookies are being donated for
the coffee stations at Conference U.C.W. in
Stratford next week.
Julie Webster was again hired to mow the
church lawn.
Lunch will be served to the Huron
Historical Society on May 29.

Buster Keaton. Everyone thought it was an
excellent movie.

HOLMESVILLE - The last meeting of the
'After Eights' was held on Saturday, April 5
at the home of leader Bev Van Ninhuys.
The meeting was opened by vice-
president Diane Bradshaw. . The minutes
were read by secretary Laurte Littlechild.
The treasurer's report of $28.26 was given
by Julie Baker.
Before members started reading in their
books, they were to prepare any questions
they had on dating, asking guys out, who
pays for what and when it's appropriate,
etc. They then started reading and
discovered most of their questions were
answered in the book.
