HURQNVIHW worslilip was held
Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Prouty in
charge. During the service, Mildred Mar -
Wick gave a devotional reading, entitled,
"God's Keeping Power". John McTaggart
played a medley of hymns on his mouth
organ. A poem entitled, "Quietness" was
read by Pat Thurlow. "The Risen Christ Ap-
pears To His Disciples" was the message
presented by Mrs. Prouty. _..,
The Reverend Father John Pluto con-
ducted Roman Catholic Mass in the chapel
Friday morning.
Sunday morning worship with the
Reverend David Snihur took place in the
chapel, and there was a good attendance.
Mabel Scott sang a solo during the service.
Huronview residents and visitors were
delighted Sunday afternoon, when the junior
and senior choirs of Blyth United Church
presented "Portraits of the Saviour".
Melda McElroy was the worship leader
and conducted the devotional period. She
also introduced the performers.
Under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Kai,
pianist, assisted by the Brass Ensemble, the
combined choirs in song and music, did an
excellent portrayal of Jesus' death_ and
resurrection. Narrations were given by
David Sparling and Mrs. Bodie Craig,
in-
ning with the Triumphant Approach
to
Jerusalem. In fine tenor voice, Reverend
Bauman sang an inspiring solo with
Margaret Kai at the piano. The women of
the senior choir sang nd flutist st Heather
ac-
companied byypiano
Bauman.
The Brass Ensemble includes Elaine and
Gayle Poore, Julie Howson, Harvey
McDowell and Heather Bauman. This group
of talented musicians and Margaret Kai
played for the singing of the hymns.
To produce a cantata, time and dedication
are an important factor, and the performers
realize the demands.
Sunday afternoon, through the efforts of
the Blyth choirs and musicians, a beautiful
story was portrayed.
