Reception for Rovers appreciated
01 CLINTON-The business meeting of
Wesley -Willis United Church Women, was
held on April 2. President Peggy Menzies
opened the meeting with an Easter poem,
and expressed her appreciation to all for the
welcoming home party that was extended to
Rev. and Mrs. Bechtel, and the Rovers on
March 30 at the town hall. Minutes were
read by Ina Durst, and correspondence con-
sisted of several thank you notes. Also an in-
vitation was extended to the women to at-
tend Blyth United Church Women's Thank
Offering at 8 p.m. on April 20 with Muriel
Coultes as guest speaker.
Soups On will be held on April 17• from
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with homemade soup,
sandwiches, and dessert. This is a fund rais-
ing project for the kitchen renovations.
The arrangements were made for the On-
tario Street -Wesley -Willis Spring Thank Of-
fering at 7:30 p.m. April 27 in Ontario Street

men who replaced some table tops and in-
stalled the warming oven.
Cleta Holland reported sending out one
carnation, two boxes of candy, four sym-
pathy cards and two memorial remem-
brances last month.
Wesley -Willis Anniversary Services will
be held "on May 4 when Rev. John
Oestreicher will be guest speaker and
special music by the Seaforth Harmony
Kings. A potluck lunch is to be served after
the morning service and coffee hour in the
evening.
