wally delivers 400 boxes of chocolates
•CLINTON,The second March meeting for
Xi Epsilon Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
Sorority was called to order at the home of
President Nancy Mstett. The 18 members
preapat discussed final plans for distribu-
tion of the over 400 boxes of hand -painted
chocolates ordered for Easter. The entire
chapter put forth an excellent group ways
and means effort and especially to chairper-
son Audrey Kernp for her organization and
hard work in the project.
The chapter also extends its gratitude to
the community for the support of the fund-
raising project to assist with community
work.
After the business, everyone jogged to the
high school for challenging evening of
volleyball with the Zeta Omega chapter. It
was a fun night hopefully to be repeated.
Judy Stuart then opened her home to both
chapters for a social time.
March 22 was the date for another social
event, the western night. The OM Fellows
Hall opened its doors to cowboys and
cowgirls from both groups to "trip the light
fantastic" under the capable leadership of
Ron and Beatrice Fleming. Rbn tied
everyone in knots as he tried to track the
fine art of square-dancing. Whether or not
he succeeded didn't matter as everyone had
fun in the process.
The chapter celebrated the fifth anniver-
sary of their first Legacy Daughter and
welcomed four new daughters on March 23.
The ritual and party were held at the home
of Ann Adams where the new Legacy
Daughters received necklaces and yellow
roses and the anniversary members receiv-
ed yellow rose corsages.
The sorority's Legacy Daughter program
enables members to enroll the daughters as
honorary members until they reach the age
of eligibility for full chapter membership.
Anniversary daughters are Lisa Dobson,
Monica Meade, Lloyann Adams, Andrea
Fitzgerald, Marlena Ray, Christine Kemp,
and Ameeta Kalohke. Daughters receiving
their memberships this year are Alonna
Kemp, Cheryl Colson, Julie Bell and Krista
Black.
The next meeting will be an anniversary
party on April 8. The sorority is celebrating
10 years since the formation of the Ex-
emplar Chapter, 15 years since sorority
came to Clinton, and 50 years of activity in
Canada.
