CLINTON - The co-operative nursery
school held its general meeting on March 5
at the Wesley -Willis Church.
The curriculum committee reported on
upcoming events planned for the children
which include some hopping visitors before
Easter, a visit to the farm and possible visit
to the police station and bank.
The social committee discussed the up-
coming penny carnival planned for April 17
at 7 p.m. at Wesley Willis Church. The
theme of the carnival will be the circus and
will include a secret auction as well as a
movie and treats for the children.
Mrs. Sally reported on the themes she
plans to cover with the children such as spr-
ing, community helpers and the circus. She
hopes to have a "bring a friend day" in April
as well.
The Easter party will be held on March 26.
The children will travel to Vanastra to see a
production of Jack and the Beanstalk and
return to the school for an Easter picnic
lunch.

The new executive for next year includes:
president - Nancy Anstett; first vice-
president - Donna Woodall; second vice-
president - Liz Herman; secretary - Anne
ball; treasurer - Cathy Aylsworth and
registrar , Judy Stuart. Registration for
next year's pupils will take place May 21.
The general meeting concluded with a
discussion led by Shirley Hackman on
positive forms of discipline.

Grace Tertian
Grace Ethel Ternan of Vanastra, and
formerly of Southampton, died in the Clin-
ton Public Hospital on March 16 at the age of
64.
Mrs. Ternan, the daughter of Henry
William and Eunice ( Roberts) Plumridge,
was born on April 11, 1921 iri Toronto.
Mrs. Ternan and her husband Orval ran a
gift shop in Southampton where they made
and sold music boxes. After moving .to
Vanastra, she became a member of the St.
Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Mrs. Ternan is survived by her husband,
daughter Dianne and her husband Rev.
David Franks of Midhurst, her son William
and his wife Margaret of Fort McMurray.
Alberta, and four grandchildren.
Also suriving is one sister Mrs. James
( Helen) Stewart of California.
Mrs. Ternan was predeceased by her
sister, Ruth Martin.
Funeral services were held on March 19 at

ton. Rev. William Barber of 5t. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church officiated with Rev.
James Visser of the Christian Reformed
Church, Vanastra, assisting.
Flower bearer was Lloyd Garland with
Gary Haak, Paul Erb, Alvin Wright,
Howard Cormach, John Green and Edwin
Zeale as pall bearers. A committal service
was held at the Clinton Cemetery Chapel
with spring interment to be held in Arhur
Cemetery.
Reginald Cook
Reginald Cook, son of the late William and
' Ellen Cook of Clinton and brother of Rev.
Dr. Roy Cook, died at Victoria Hospital,
Westminister Campus, -London, on
February 27.
Mr. Cook was born in Clinton on January
•31, 1915. He was a graduate of Clinton Public

hospitalized in Westginister Hospital, re-
maining there unitl ht death 43 years later.

vices. Interment wasui the Veterans' Plot,

Fern Finlay, formily of Goderich and
Goderich Township, ed in Huronview on
March 22. She was 91- ars-old.
