Campsite reservations
are now being taken
Campsite reservations for th', 1986 season
are now being taken yearTound at some of
Ontario's Provincial Parks and campers
are quickly booking the sites at Pinery and
Ipperwash.
Park Superintendent Ray Bonenberg said
"Over 1700 bookings have been received for
the parks since Jan. 1 and several of the ma-
jor holiday weekends are almost completely
booked. In total, 475 of the 1266 campsites
available at the two parks are set aside for
reservations, with the balance being
available on a first come first serve basis".
"Eight hundred sites have been set aside
for reservations on the Victoria Day
weekend only. These sites are available on a
pay in advance basis only. This enables
visitors to get to their campsites much more
quickly and avoid the long waits in registra-
tion lines that have occurred in recent

, "Due to the popularity of Pinery and Ip-

The Fleming Fowl-UPs
Fowl -Ups take Zurich tournament title
Dean Reid's second period goal proved to
be the winner as the Clinton Fleming Fowl -
Ups edged their arch -rivals the Goderich
Old Deckhands 2-1 to capture the fifth An-
nual Zurich Has -Beans .Oldtimer's Hockey
Tournament last weekend. '
The tournament victory was the Fowl -ups
second oldtimers title this season as back in
October they captured the Utica, Michigan
tournament. At the Wingham tournament in
November the Fowl -ups lost in overtime in
the championship game against Malton.
Flemings 2- Goderich 1
In the championship game on Sunday the
Goderich Old Dickhands opened the scoring
as Ron Miller converted a perfect pass from
his centre Paul Corriveau early in the se-
cond period after a scoreless first period.
Fleming's tied the score less than five
minutes when winger Harvey Carter
backhanded the puck past the Goderich net -
minder. Reid's shot from behind the goal
deflected in the net off the goalie after
passes from Ken Daer and Paul Draper.
Goderich pressured the Fowl -ups in the
third period but excellent goaltending by
Fleming's Len Wilson (tournament's Most
Valuable Player) enabled Clinton to hang on
for the championship victory.
Fleming's 2 - Exeter 1
In the opening game of the tournament on
Friday night a goal late in the third period
by defenceman Ken Daer gave the Fowl -ups
a 2-1 victory over the , highly -rated Exeter
Moulting Hawks. George Nahrgang had
'earlierscored as he drilled a 15 -foot shot
passed the Exeter goalie on a perfect pass
from Daer.
Fleming's 3 - London 1 ,
In their second game of the tournament
the Fowl -ups defeated London Roov Con-
struction 3-1 as centre Bob "Little Joe"
Livermore finally got "untracked" as he
tallied twice in the victory. Nahrgang
scored again as he teamed up with ken Daer
to dent the twine. This victory enabled the
Fowl -ups to receive a bye to the champion-
ship against the Goderich Old Deckhands.
DEFENCE: Ken Daer, Don Bartliff, Doug
MacAulay, Bennis Fleischauer.

Video stickering program postponed
A postponement of Ontario's video,
classification stickering program was an-
nounced recently by the Ministry of Con-
sumer and Commercial Relations.
"Due to a number of production and
technical problems with the stickers, as well
as application difficulties encountered by
the industry, we are announcing a delay in
the stickering program", said Jan Rush,
Executive Director, Business Practices
Division.
"In . consultation with representatives
from all sectors of the industry, the ministry
will be hiring a consultant to review the im-
plementation program," Rush said. "Until
such time as the consultant reports back to
us, the stickering process is now on hold,"
she said.
She added that the sale of classification
stickers to the video industry for application
to cassettes has been temporarily suspend-
ed, pending production quality control
checks.
"In view of the problems encountered
with the stickers and in fairness to the in-
dustry and the integrity of the program, we
decided to call a temporary halt to the
stickering", Rush said.
She said the moratorium would afford
studios additional time to clear outstanding
titles for classification and- approval. In the
meantime, the Theatres Branch will pro-
duce an up-to-date catalogue for use by
video retailers in classifying their existing
stock. -
Although `the -ministry is calling a
moratorium ori` -"the -'stickering, Ontario's
commitment to the work of the Ontario Film
Review Board remains in place.
The consultant's report is expected to be
completed in a few weeks_
