She stressed the importance of putting in place a series of steps so that the necessary criteria was fully met, and understood by the applicant. Her talk was illustrated by a series of slides showing how failure to monitor projects. and conform with the re- •quirements could, prove disastrous. As committees of Municipal councils, Ms. Sussman said, LACACs had a responsibility to engender good and co-operative relation- ships with municipal administrators, as well as fostering local support and interest. The meeting concludes with questions and an opportunity for members of the groups represented to share experiences, problems encountered and means of overcoming them. For the Bayfield representatives ( Charles Rogers, Pat Muratori, Arlene Kok and Helen Owen) the trip was well wor- thwhile and encouraging because many of the problems discussed were ones which the Bayfield LACAC had met, and overcome.
