Unique service held at Wesley -Willis
CLINTON - The congregation of Wesley -
Willis United Church had a unique worship
experience on January 26 when its Junior
Choir presented the musical, Kids Praise!
No. 3, The Funtastic Family, by E. Rettino
and D. Kerner. The 19 voice choir, directed
by Nancy Hearn, sang and danced its way
through 10 songs about God's family and
each person's place in it.
The story centred around the children's
welcome back party for their old friend,
Psalty, a big blue song book which was
played by Jeff Hearn. They decorated the
church with balloons and streamers and
Psalty arrived with a surprise, his book
family: Psaltina his wife, played by Marci
Schoenhals, and their triplets, Melody,
Harmony and Rhythm, played by Naomi
Duddy, Stacy Hicks and Andrea Fitzgerald.
Together everyone showed Tammy, the new
girl, played by Susan Jewitt, how to feel a
part of God's family.
During the final song, Welcome to the
Family, the choir, members went into the
congregation and brought their family and
friends back to the platform to form one big
church family.
