She and 25 year employee Elaine Cox of Clinton (background) chose termination after a new equipment system took over the operator's responsibilities. Fifteen operators and their superior, representing almost 350 years of service, gathered a last time at the Clinton Bell Canada office on March 30. MARCH Goderich Township dominated the news in March with their "From Petticoats to Punk" fashion show, highlighting fashions over 150 years. Nancy Flynn (left) modelled a dress worn in the 1870s, Penny Hart (middle) showed off the 1850s style while Elly Vandenberg modelled the 1900 style. AUGUST Each year Bayfield holds a fair for the young and old to enjoy. Last year, Hope Lobb and her nine and a half month old son Mathew got into the spirit of the fair, dressing themselves in clown attire. JULY. j The Goderich Township Shed was filled to capacity for the Farm Show Revival during their sesquicentennial celebrations. The 1972 play brought a neWdimension to Canadian theatre and introduced the theatre to many Huron County Re idents. The 1985 Farm Show performers were Anne Anglin (walking), David Pox, Fi4a MacDonell (sitting), and Miles Potter, Paul Thompson and Terry Tweed.
