BLYTH-In the first game of Industrial
Hockey on December 22, Hubbards beat
Watsons by a sore of 11-2. Scoring for Bub -
bards were Brian Bramley with three, -Ben
Hakkers with two, Dennis Knox with two,
Brian Westberg with two, Brad Bromley
with one and Brent Andrews also with one.
Scoring for Watsons were Bruce Howson
and John Watson.
In the second, Mannings `teat the Myth
Inn by a • score of 64. Wayne McDougall
scored five times for 'Mannings and Don
Shields scored once. Scoring for the Inn
were Kurt Whitfield, Steve Howson and
Steve Bowes.
The third game saw the Baintons beat
Radfords by a score of 10-7. Barney Steward
scored five times for Baintons, Scott Steven-
son scored four times and Jim Dickson
scored once. Scoring for Radfords were
Randy Boyer with two, Steve Nixon with
two, Rick Scrimgeour with one, Darryl
Chalmers with one and Darryl Youngblut
also with one.
Meeting planned
HULLETT TWP. - Council here has
instructed the clerk to. arrange a meeting
with other area municipalities to discuss
their individual responsibilities to Auburn.
Although the date for the meeting is not
finalized, the clerk will invite the councils of
East and West Waw /�.,.' - • , • uburn trustees
and representatives i im the Ministry. of
Municipal Affairs to 6 tend the meeting.
In other business, the road superintendent
'was instructed to place an ad i he paper
stating the township will not b responsible
for damage to parked cars mail boxes
while snow plowing. Also, re ents in the
township are requested not to h or blow'
snow on to the township roads.
The road superintendent will also invite
tenders for a new four-wheel drive half -ton
pick-up track: The tenders are to• be in the
hands of the road superintendent by 5 p.m.
on January 27.
Council passed a -bylaw to authorize an
agreement with the Seaforth Community •
Centre for operating and management for
1986 through to 1988.
Council also passed a byaw authorizing a
land acquisition on lot 25 concession 14.
Council agreed with a resolution from the
Township of London regarding
compensation for firefighters to cover
heart -associated stress problems arising
from fire duty.

Large number attend Christmas eve service
LONDESBORO - Welcoming the
congregation to the United Church on
December 22 were Rev. Snihur and Gordon
Shobbrook. The ushers were Kelly Bosman,
Melanie Knox, Joanne Wilts and Kim
Salverda.
The flowers on the piano were placed in
loving memory of Brad Kennedy who
passed away at Christmas, 1982 by his wife
Jean and family.
Dennis and Margaret Penfound lit the
fourth Advent candle of the shepherds.
The children's story was "The Sacred
Snake". The children then returned to sit
with their families.
The choir favored With two anthems. The
sermon was "A Shepherd to Follow Christ
the Lord".
Christmas Eve Service
A large number of people attended the
Christmas. .eve service. .Rev. Snihur
welcomed all. The ushers were Brian
Howatt, Kevin Wright, and Dennis and
Gerban Wilts.
Beth Knox and Clara Riley lit the Christ
•candle. An anthem was sung by the junior
choir with Bill Jewitt as soloist.. The

children in' Italy celebrate Christmas. The

The song The Marvellous Toy was sung by

Austria's Christmas Eve visit of the
Kuskind was enacted by the Shining Stars,
the Grade 3.4 class of Barbara Bakker and
Nancy Marchi: This was concluded by a
Christmas Lullaby, Still, Still, Still.

A Trip to Bethlehem, today and at the
time of Jesus' birth, was enacted by the
Joyous Juniors class of Marilyn Verbeek.
They sang 0 Little Town of Bethlehem.
Concluding the program, Santa arrived to
distribute'gifts. Candy bags were also given -
to the children. Special helpers were Laura
Lawrence, Fred Lawrence, Allan Webster,
Larry Fisher and Jake Middelkamp.
