Jim White: This year, we're repeating our highly successful 112
price Stilton sale. Untiljan. 1, you pay only $11 /kg, or $4.9911b.,
when you buy a whole wheel (approx. 2-1/2 to 3 lbs.) of Stilton.
THAT'S UP TO 1/2 THE REGULAR PRICE CHARGED IN
MANY TORONTO SPECIALTY CHEESE SHOPS!! If you
desire smaller amounts, we can supply that too; and you pay only
$13.21/kg, or $5.99ilb. With the cheese, you'll find two of my
favourite Stilton recipes—LEEK AND STILTON SOUP (seryed
at Fenton's Restaurant in Toronto) and STILTON FRI 1 1 ERS
WITH LINGONBERRY SAUCE. Available: all in-store delis.
Last year we explained why, in our opinion, most
supermarket tomatoes have all the flavour of old tennis
balls at this time• of year. And we offered a
solution—VINE-RIPENED tomatoes flown in from the
Canary islands, Spain and the Middle Fast. They •were
such a hit that this year we've booked enough air cargo
space to fly in 42,000 pounds. Arid we're selling them
fthe same price—only $4.391kg, or $1.99/1b!
They're specially priced until Jan. 1, or as long as overseas
growers can meet our needs.
Available in the produce dept. of L, LS, NF, Z.

You know how expensive it is to assemble holiday buffets. One of
the most costlyitems, of course, is dinner napkins. Typically, you
pay up to $1.6for a box of 30 Deluxe Kleenex Dinner Napkins in
many Ontario supers. This is a preposterous price! That's why we,
introduced the. 200 -count package of No Name Dinner Napkins
(these are dinner napkins - not serviettes). We put them in a clear
package so that you can judge the quality for yourself and after you
compare the incredibly low price of only $3.99 for 200 dinner
napkins, we think you'll stock up for all your holiday entertaining
needs. Available: L, LS, N,F, Z, SI.

White asparagus is popular at this time of year. People use it for
attractive salads (drizzle spears with a flavourful vinaigrette) or they
put spears out on fancy buffet tables. The problem has been, until
now anyway, than white asparagus typically 'comes in tins and is
expensive; worse than the high price is rhe fact that with tinned
asparagus you can't see what you re buying,
what size the spears are, or. whether
they're pulpy, mashed, folded, spin-
dled '
pin-
dled' or mutilated. The 1nsi4rr's
