This summer I scoured Scandinavia, looking for
items for the Insider's Report. One night in
Stockholm, I went to bed early so that I would be
sure not to miss some early morning business
appointments. I awoke with a start and saw a ray of
sun piercing through the curtain; I jumped out of
bed, raced to the drapery and swept it back—the
sun was high! My face was completely covered with
shaving lather before I looked at my watch and
realized it was 3;30 IN THE MORNING! I HAD
FALLEN VICTIM TO THE MIDNIGHT SUN
SYNDROME!!
An item ,that I became–extremely fond of in
Sweden is Lingonberry Sauce. In my opinion, this
sauce, made from a wild, Swedish mountain
cranberryHAS 10 TIMES MORE FLAVOUR
THAN CRANBERRY SAUCE. (The 24-hour sun
ives Scandinavian fruit extra flavour.)

"1HE BUY OF THE CENTURY"
Even as a struggling law student, 1 was
interested in cooking and, despite my limited
student budget, I always tried to stock my
kitchen with "the best" Among treasured items
acquired during my school days were
Swedish -designed Boda Nova dishes, which I
still own and use 'regularly. These high -style,
ovenproof glass dishes can go directly from
oven to table. Each dish comes with a separate
cork base to protect your table from heat (or
cold—these dishes ..are great for ice cream
desserts). Boda Isliaiihyt is„)igs are extremely
versatile; we usg, ,ours! •f a serve vegetables,
souffles, casseroles--ot•' salads. And because
they're glass, they're exceptionally useful for
microwave cookery.
This summer, while in Stockholm, I VISITED
BODA NOVA AND PLACED AN ORDER
FOR NEARLY 25,000 PIECES. The
manufacturer's suggested list price for the West
German -made 24.5 x 10 cm dish (perfect for
salads) is $36.00. HOqWEVER, BECAUSE OF
THE SIZE OF ORDER, WE ARE ABLE
10 OFFER IT FOR ONLY $14.99!!! Likewise
the manufacturer's suggested list price for the 25i
x 5.,5 gratin dish is $34.00, BUT IN THE
INSIIR S REPORT, IT'S ONLY $14.9911
An dd the 20 x 10 cm souffle dish which has a
manufacturer's suggested list price of $27.50 is
• ONLY $11.99: At such low prices you can afford
to buy the whole set—for yourself and as a
present for others. Is there a better gift for
someone who loves to cook? All pieces are
