1985 marks the 100th anniversary
of the death of JUMBO who, at the
turret of his death, was the world's

His demise took place in St.

up its tent. A tiny, dwarf
elephant, affectionately tcriown

down a set of "railway tracks;
seeing that a huge train was!baneling down
psi him, Tim's faithful companion, Jumbo, ran onto the tracks to push
him azide. Torn was spared but Jumbo was killed by the train!

cream whipper; you pour cream into it, screw in a
as cartridge, shake it once or twice, press a lever
d PRESTO! you've got thick, whipped cream. I
didn't show much enthusiasm for the item because
Andy told me that he paiid over $40 in a Toronto gift

Then, by happenstance, six months later, a supplier

regaled me with stories about ONE OF THE
HOTTESTSELLING FOOD -GIFTWARE ITEMS IN
CANADA RIGHT NOW—the Cream Whipper. I asked
for .i price that would enable us to sell it for $19.99—half the
gift store price that Andy paid. He said he couldn't do it but if
we ever found one to sell ar that price it would be A RUNAWAY.

An exporter of Canadian Cheddar cheese to
England remarked to me recently that Fortnum
& Mason, England's finest food emporium, has
trouble keepingCanadian Cheddar in stock
BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET ENOUGH
OF IT! Maybe that's because we're buying such
a huge volume for Canadians! We've just
negotiated a H -U -G -E order, enabling us to sell
OLD Canadian Cheddar for $1/16 less than the
regularrice charged in many Torontcxsupers.
Until Jan. 1, our old, medium and mild
Canadian Cheddars are all the same low price
of only $7.69/kg, or $3.49/lb. Available in the
