Once upon a time I was a seed and so-
' meone planted me so I could grow big and
tall. For a month I grew bigger and I was
happy. So the next month I was strong and
wide and very tall.
Then Mr. Cronyn can along with his
daughter Margaret. They went to cut down
the tree for Christmas and when they got
home they decorated me. I was happy that
they did that to me. I felt like a new
Christmas tree. Maybe like when I was !
born. They took good care of me.
It was seven more days until Christmas. I
was happy. I mean fabulous, so were ,Mike
and Margaret. I could tell you about them.
They were good all month long. They were
very, very good because they passed their
grlades. Margaret was in Grade 9 and Mikt'
. was in Grade 8. And so, after school they
looked for their presents for Christmas.
They found them, so they played with them.
Margaret had a doll and Mike had a truck
• and cars. Then their mom came up and she
saw them playing with the toys. But she said
it was Christmas Day and she was going to
get them. Mike said, "I knew it all the'
time."
"No you didn't!"
"Yes!"
„Not„
"Stop it! Let's go downstairs and open the
presents now."`
`Okay!"
Then they played with their new toys and
they kept me•for ever.
