Students learn fire safety
October 9 was proclaimed Fire Safety
Day and the school prepared for it last Fri-
day.
A planned fire drill was held and everyone
participated accordingly. Afterwards, a
discussion was held as to what had been
done, and what had been omitted. One thing
that was pointed out, was that no one check-
ed the washrooms to ensure that they were
empty.
On Wednesday, another drill was held for
evacuation purposes, only this one was held'
on an unexpected note.
Many families are planning to participate,
in the drill that is to be held in their homes at
6 p.m. Make plans on how to evacuate your
house, the safest and quickest way, and then
do it accordingly.
